This dependable and versatile, slow growing, shade loving perennial has large, 13 in. long x 10 in. wide, bluish green leaves. Leaves are heart shaped, heavily corrugated, and cupped. Purple tinged, white flower spikes appear in early summer. Perfect for the woodland garden.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ever Changing A great plant that changes color from spring through fall. Starts blue in the spring, then fades to an evergreen by mid-summer. Blooms in late summer with medium sized light purple flowers, spires about two feet tall. Trim by first frost to ground level for best color the next spring. Be sure to pick up trimmings to prevent spread of disease. It's a perfect addition to any shady landscape! August 20, 2014
