Product Overview

  • Easy to Grow in Average Soil in Full Sun
  • Dark Blue-Violet Flowers in Summer
  • Attracts Bees and Butterflies, Deer Tolerant
A very compact, upright growing plant with sturdy stems of deeply purplish, dark green foliage. Dark violet blue flowers offer garden color from early summer to fall. A drought tolerant Salvia variety, once established.
  • Foliage is naturally aromatic when cut or crushed
  • A great, long lasting flower for the cutting garden
  • A magnet for hummingbirds and butterflies
  • Trim plants back after blooming to prevent a floppy, openly spreading appearance
  • 1 Gal. ships in pot unless state or federal regulations require otherwise
  • We're sorry, due to state or federal regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to California
  • Plant ships as a bare root plant with no soil and no pot when shipped to Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington
  • When shipped as a bare root plant, the Shake&Ship system will be used to remove soil from the roots, thus increasing the root tip surface area, which in turn, greatly enhances the ability of the plant to rapidly establish itself in the new environment
  • May ship in a dormant state, with bare branches and no leaves, especially in early spring when plant has been pruned back to promote lateral branching
  • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 24 in. away from other plants or structures
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 4 to 8, when grown in other zones, special care will be necessary
