Product Overview

  • White Flowers Are Streaked With Lilac and Lavender Hues
  • Easy to Grow in Most Soils in a Sunny to Shaded Site
  • Deer Tolerant
A hardy relative to pansies that brings early spring color to the garden. Dark green foliage is neat and compact, forming a mounded clump. A plethora of sweet smelling white blossoms are heavily striated with lavender, appearing all purple from a distance. Violas love the cooler temperatures and moist soils of northern climates.
  • Continuous shearing of fading flowers will promote color from spring to fall
  • Should be planted in a shadier area with mulch to keep plants cool in hotter climates
  • 2 toned blossoms have a very small yellow eye
  • A nice choice for a container or a window box
  • 1 Gal. ships in pot unless state or federal regulations require otherwise
  • Plant ships as a bare root plant with no soil and no pot when shipped to Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington
  • When shipped as a bare root plant, the Shake&Ship system will be used to remove soil from the roots, thus increasing the root tip surface area, which in turn, greatly enhances the ability of the plant to rapidly establish itself in the new environment
  • May ship in a dormant state, with bare branches and no leaves
  • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 8 in. away from other plants or structures
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 4 to 9, when grown in other zones, special care will be necessary

Asked by: autumnmobile
Hello, thank you for your question. The picture is correct. From a distance, the blooms appear almost all purple, yet upon closer inspection, the blooms are actually white with purplish striping.
