When is the best time to plant the raspberry bush? Can it be planted now, in July, to bear fruit next year? Thank you.

Asked by: Ash208
Yes, the raspberry can be planted from now to when the ground freezes. The planting time has no bearing on whether or not it will produce fruit next year because it is already bearing fruit this season.

Can I plant two raspberry plants for cross pollination or do I have to plant 3?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Successful growth of leaves within a week. I planted the raspberry plants alongside my house and already they have acquired some leaves. Looks like they'll do just dandy. I have three fourths of an acre in my back yard so I may order some more plants soon. Thanking Home Depot for delivering so quickly!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Arrived in great shape! Plants arrived packed securely in a long, thin box. They had healthy leaves and wet paper towels protecting the roots. We planted them right away and kept them watered and two weeks later they still look good. I expect them to continue to thrive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All are still alive! Although the fruit plants were planted within two days, it is impossible to rate them until next spring. The plants were of excellent size and quality when received. I've read comments of plants at other suppliers that indicated plants were nothing but twigs. These fruit plants (Strawberry, red raspberries and black raspberries were actual PLANTS. There was even fruit on one plant. A GREAT BUY!
