Customer Questions & Answers

I only have a balcony for growing; is it possible to grow Raspberries and Blackberries in containers?

Asked by: condogrower
Absolutely! The major con may be the limiting space of the balcony depending on its size. Both raspberries and blackberries end up spreading out quite a bit, but with some creative trellising, you can contain them pretty well.

What kind of special care do raspberries need on hardiness zone 9?
Asked by: LR
Hello, the 'Heritage red raspberry requires 250 chill hours (consistent air temperatures below 45 deg F) during the winter season to set fruit. Depending on your particular area, Zone 9 may be too hot to effectively harvest raspberries.

1 gal. Heritage Red Raspberry Edible Fruit Bearing Plant is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I ordered these a couple weeks ago but i have been waiting for the weather to be right for planting. They came in a pot as a dormant cutting, with a couple leaf buds beginning to form. After a week or two they are starting to grow wild! I am beyond pleased. These are also listed as organic, which is even better. I am already picking off flower buds, i can't believe it! clearly these don't mind being in a pot and barely getting any sun since they haven't been outside yet. I might order a few more

One was in fabulous condition, the other was okay. I had them in the ground the next day. The bush that was in the best condition is flourishing! Unfortunately the other began to die almost immediately. Yesterday, June 11, I declared the bush totally dead. Can I get a replacement, please? I am very happy with the one bush I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Successful growth of leaves within a week. I planted the raspberry plants alongside my house and already they have acquired some leaves. Looks like they'll do just dandy. I have three fourths of an acre in my back yard so I may order some more plants soon. Thanking Home Depot for delivering so quickly!
