Customer Questions & Answers

How long will it take until this plant grows to its full height?

Asked by: CA
No one can actually tell you as the planting site and conditions would change the growth rate; however when they are happy the plants spread and become 60" tall and over 5 feet in width. As you have already guessed this could take years. Note: the first year the plant may look as it is failing, but once again if it is happy, meaning planted in a damp and shady area it will be spending energy on forming roots. Do not give up hope as they are beautiful and the fiddle is edible.

Customer Reviews

1 gal. Ostrich Fern Plant is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not A Gallon Plant I purchased three of these plants for a backyard wedding. They arrived in little paper pouches not gallon sized containers. I should of returned them then but since I was unable to find this fern locally, I decided to keep them. Over a month has passed and they now have two fronds about 5" each. Very disappointing.
