  • Dark green, fern like foliage is interesting, even without the flowers
  • Beautiful flowering plant for the woodland garden
  • Dried seeds on flower stalks are ornamentally attractive
  • 1 Gal. pot - state or federal regulations may require this plant to ship as a bare root plant, without pot and without soil
  • Plant ships as a bare root plant, without pot and without soil, to Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington
  • May ship in a dormant state, with no top growth at all
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 3 to 8, when grown in other zones, special care requirements will be required

What zones do they grow and flower well in?

We live in Palm Desert (zone 9).
Asked by: Dotann
Thank you for your inquiry. The Rheinland Meadow Sweet grows best in Zones 4-8. In Zone 9, special care will be needed for the plant to thrive. The area must be shaded as the plants cannot tolerate the intense heat of the hot sun. The soil will need to be organically rich, consistently moist yet well drained. Mulch will help to retain soil moisture and to keep the roots cool.
