  • Small, violety blue, flower spikes appear in late summer
  • In warmer climates, the foliage will persist throughout winter
  • For a ground cover, space plants one foot apart
  • Grows in dry shade under a large tree
  • 1 gal. pot - state or federal regulations may require this plant to ship as a bare root plant, without pot and without soil
  • Plant ships as a bare root plant, without pot and without soil, to Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington
  • May ship in a dormant state, with no top growth at all
  • Winter color may not be as bold as summer hues
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 5 to 10, when grown in other zones, special care requirements will be required
  • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 18 in. away from other plants or structures
  • When shipped as a bare root plant, the shake and ship system has been used to remove soil from roots

when can I plant them in Pitt. Pa?...Lily turf plant

in the month of November OK? Do I need to add something in soil?

Thank you for your question. The Variegated Lily Turf can be planted right up until the ground freezes. When planting into average garden dirt, soil amendments are usually not necessary.

Customer Reviews

1 gal. Variegated Lily Turf Plant is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Description doesn't match product actually delivered Thought I'd try ordering these online, since none of the area Home Depots has had them in stock for over 6 months. It is advertised as 1 gal., but what i got wouldn't even fill a quart container. If I had seen these beforehand, I might still have bought them, but certainly not for $19 each. I could have gotten similar plants (but not the variety I wanted), in better condition, and actually in a quart container from OSH for about $6 each. Oh well, live and learn. That's the last time I buy a plant online from Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful and Beautiful I've had this for 7 years and it has not failed me. Just plant this and forget them. I have this in the front of my house where I get the evening sun. This is beautiful when it blooms. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great next to my driveway. I received my plants a few days ago, and kept them in their pots, in my home, until yesterday. Planted them along my driveway and they look great. The plants arrived in great shape, looked great and were even blooming. I would recommend these plants to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied with purchase I was pleasantly surprised when I received these plants. They arrived in excellent condition. The packaging was very secure. They are a nice size and look very healthy. This beats driving around to local nurseries to find exactly what I wanted.
