Renowned for it's spectacular mid spring flower display, this deciduous tree is also perfectly sized for small yards. Large, reddish purple flowers have white interiors and appear before the foliage emerges in spring. Blooms sporadically appear again in mid-summer.

  • Dark green leaves emerge with coppery red tints in spring
  • Slow growing, shrubby habit
  • An excellent specimen or accent tree for the front landscape
  • Late bloom period prevents frost damage to buds
  • 1 qt. pot - state or federal regulations may require this plant to ship as a bare root plant, without pot and without soil
  • We're sorry, but due to state regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to Mississippi or Wisconsin
  • This plant ships as a bare root plant without pot and without soil to Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington
  • May ship in a dormant state, with bare branches and no leaves
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 4 to 8, when grown in other Zones, special care requirements will be required
  • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 10 ft. away from other plants or structures
  • When shipped as a bare root plant, the Shake & Ship system has been used to remove soil from roots

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Only plant that arrived green and not wilted My error in purchasing this product on line in the middle of the summer. Arrived in 100 degrees temperature. The roots felt as if they were cooking by the heat. Cooled down. Planted in the coolness of the evening. Plant appears to be dead after daily watering. Should of went to the store right there in Eagle, but living in McCall wanted to save some money in making the trip to surprise my daughter with these plants in Boise. August 13, 2013
