You should wait until it leafs out in spring before pruning. It should not be pruned in the fall.

Customer Reviews

2 gal. Lo and Behold Blue Chip Butterfly Bush Shrub is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, beautiful plant I love this little plant. We bought three last year and I've waited a year to write the review. A couple of suggestions to future buyers: 1) do buy the plant if you love bees and butterflies in your garden 2) make sure you like where you're putting it - they hate to be moved and 3) familiarize yourself with when to prune it We are planning to buy several more this year and create a side garden for the butterflies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little shrub Lo and Behold was a knockout in my garden in Branson, Mo. Now that I have moved to central Florida I am going to try a few and see how they do in Zone 9. Keeping my fingers crossed!
