Customer Questions & Answers

will this plant do alright in naples florida?

Asked by: sunray981
Hello, thank you for your question. This particular Hibiscus thrives in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4 to 9. Naples is in Zone 10. This means the conditions are not conducive for the long-term survivability of the plant.

will your perenial hibicus survive in henderson nv 89012?

extremely hot and dry here in the summer. some below freezing in the winter. Do have sprinkler system
Asked by: ricktaylor
Your hibiscus is rated for hardiness zones 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. Your zone appears to e 9a. As long as you do not have a Hard Freeze, you should be able to cover your plant with a flannel sheet during those colder nights. Plugging a light in placing it under the flannel sheet will also help to keep your hibiscus more comfortable on those colder nights. Be sure to keep your plant hydrated, especially when the temperatures get cold.

Customer Reviews

2 gal. Blue River II Hibiscus or Althea Shrub is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous blooms I had to order this plant twice. The first arrived dead, but Home Depot was good about replacing it. The second plant appeared to be in bad shape, but after a few days of care perked up, and 3 weeks later the most incredible, large white blooms appeared. Thus is a striking addition to my garden!
