Product Overview

Robust, hardy, northern plant with coppery-red, 3-5 lobed leaves, producing impressive, large, 10-12 in. white flowers with a bright red eye from summer to fall. Useful in mass, as a hedge, or along the edge of a pond. Very late to break dormancy and you may think it did not survive winter, but eventually, the plant becomes a showy accent once foliage emerges. Mature height of 3-4 ft. with a similar spread. Plant in full sun in moist, well drained soil. We're sorry, but due to state regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to Mississippi.

  • Deep burgundy copper foliage all summer
  • Very large 10 in. wide flowers
  • Stunning blooms summer to fall
  • Non-tropical plant
  • 2 gal. ships in pot unless state or federal regulations require otherwise
  • We're sorry, but due to state regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to Mississippi
  • This plant ships as a bare root plant with no soil and no pot when shipped to Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington
  • When shipped as a bare root plant, the Shake&Shipsystem will be used to remove soil from the roots, thus increasing the root tip surface area, which in turn, greatly enhances the ability of the plant to rapidly establish itself in the new environment
  • Performs best in plant growing zones 5 to 8, when grown in other Zones, special care requirements will be required
  • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 2 ft. away from other plants or structures
  • May ship in a dormant state, with bare branches and no leaves, especially in early spring when the plant has been cut back to promote lateral branching

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressive I am very impressed with how big the plants are. I bought 2 Kopper King Hibiscus. They are healthy and about 1' tall. They were nicely packed also. Got it in no time too. Maybe 2-4 days! I purchased hibiscus before from other nurseries and they ship you a 20" weakling usually. Yes. I would definitely recommend this plant! October 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Late Summer beauty When your spring blooms are long gone but you want a perennial to give your garden a wow factor, this is it. It needs lots of sun and don't crowd it or it will grow smaller than it should be. It's drought tolerant during the dog days of summer[when you're on vacation...] Don't dead-head those buds because the seeds are what you want to start new plants next year. I t's a good plant for children to grow because they grow very fast and produce the same year. March 9, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Copper Color Plant arrived on time , planted it same day. Almost over night it picked up and looks to be on it's way for a full growing season. Looking forward to Big Flowers June 28, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Let's wait and see!!! This product stated that it was in a 2 gallon container unless in a particular state (which we are not). It did not come that way. It was bare rooted and currently is struggling. I purchased as a gift for my mother. Luckily, she is easy going and is nurturing the little root. Myself, I was disappointed..... for the price??? Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Small plant I was expecting a bigger plant but this was healthy and is growing now that I have planted it. I hope it blooms next year as this year it was too small to do so. July 24, 2012
