Easy to grow. Prune lightly to maintain shape, if desired.

Asked by: kiya
Hello, thank you for your question. No, the Cypress is not "fake", but rather a live plant that needs to be planted outside.

What zone are we in here in western Pa.

Asked by: Darla
Hello, Darla. Western PA could be in Zone 5 or 6, depending on actual location. The easiest way to find your Zone is to utilize the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone map at: http://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/phzmweb/interactivemap.aspx

Customer Reviews

2 gal. Vintage Gold Cypress Shrub is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy care, nice color, winter interest. These were in my garden when I bought my house 7 yrs ago. I didn't know what they were called, so I called them my 'Cousin It' bushes. These have a softer look than many evergreens (which I don't prefer) and I just snip back new growth occasionally to keep their shape. Mine are well established so they maintain even in very dry summers and in the fall I throw a rope web and spiders on them to look great for Halloween or lights for Christmas. The yellow coloring looks great against the other greenery. I would highly recommend for a low maintenance garden.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Small I cannot give this review more than three stars. While I love the bright color of the cypress shrub I did not like the size. It was very small. I guess I didn't realize how small/big 2 gallons really is. I've had it for about 4 weeks now and it's still the same size. I water it and love when it rains so it can get watered that way but it is the same exact size as when I purchased it. I guess I'm looking forward to the huge shrub that I see in the picture. I cannot wait for it to grow to that size. I am soooo impatient!!!realize

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT THAT ECSTATIC!!! I'm not too happy with Gold Cypress Shrub. I Love the picture shown on the site but unfortunately my shrub was only 2 gallons but extremely small. Also, dirt spilled on the branches that never came off,my branches are brown. It's been almost 2 months and no growth to speak of as of yet. If anything changes I will update my review. But for now, I'm not ecstatic at all with this shrub.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bought 2 plants on-line; only one lives unfortunately the cypress bush was almost dead when it got here. I planted in garden and it never did take hold. Will just dig up and get rid of. I shop Home Depot alot and had higher hopes re: delivery than what I experienced.
