Customer Questions & Answers

Can I set the thermostat to maintain a max temp of 60 degrees F ?

Does the temperature control (thermostat) knob display a temperature gradation, allowing me to set it to a specified temperature of, say, 60 degrees. The heater is intended for a small greenhouse that has a volume of a mere 112 cubic feet. I want to maintain a relatively constant night time temperature of 55-60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Asked by: tomatoman
There is no degree marks on temperature knob. I set it at a comfortable mark and adjust it as necessary. It cycles off and on to keep that setting.

What's the hottest temperature it provides, and does it release carbon monoxide?

Asked by: Frank
Assuming it's in a space that is within its heating capacity, I think the hottest temperature provided would be beyond comfortable. I have a similar model and when I turned it all the way up, it just kept getting warmer and warmer until I became uncomfortable and had to turn it down. So....to answer your question, I don't know how hot it gets because it was too hot for me. Sorry for being useless. No it doesn't release carbon monoxide, as carbon monoxide is a by product of combustion, and this unit is electric with nothing burning. Unless the curtains happen to get sucked in...

Within two months each one has stopped working, will not turn on no matter what outlet used. I suggest you spend a little bit more money, as it will save you the frustration in the long run.

I've purchased this space heater before so I purchased two this time around. Both of them have a rattle in the fan that gets a bit bothersome. Previous purchases of this heater did not have the rattle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A small fan/heater that provides economical temperature comfort My wife is always hot! I am always cold! Heating our moblie home in winter can boost our electric bill! This heater/fan solves all three of these issues at a small price! We bought 2 of these units and used them in winter for heating and in summer as cooling fans. I can heat my side of the sofa while my wife remains cool. After a year of frequent use, these units began to malfunction. We will purchase 2 new ones for this winter. At this price, I consider them disposable. Expensive heaters that last for years require maintenance! I prefer an inexpensive heater that runs maintenance-free. No filters to clean or replace! Just enjoy the warmth and congratulate yourself on a thrifty purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it does what it says there is a little white safety thingy that was loose in the bottom of the box. when the unit didn't work I was reboxing for return when I discovered it. works well with the thingy in but if you lose it might as well throw the heater away. QUALITY CONTROL TAKE HEED!!!!!!!!
