Yeah I found the same thing very deceiving. Epecially in my area where you have to order online. Accurate measurement are even more important. It made a huge in the use I had for them.

Will these rust? My other pins I bought in the past rusted. I don't want rust on /in my food/vegetables/fruits/herbs, etc.
Asked by: Tamboliya
Tamboliya, as mentioned in a reply to your similar question on another product, these loop stakes are make of zinc-coated steel, so they are strong and durable, but yes they will rust eventually.

We had been using landscaping fabric staples in the past; these are more expensive, but made our lives way easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really a good deal for the money: I had a long electrical cord that I needed to make sure stayed close to the ground so that people didn't trip over it. Hammered these babies in and that cord isn't going anywhere. They are relatively thin, but strong enough to do the job. In addition, I needed to secure a small fountain/bird bath so that it wouldn't tip over in high winds or because feral cats jumped on it. I used bungie cords around the base of the fountain and these stakes to hold them down. Again, perfect for the purpose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well except if ground is very hard Use these to keep your main drip lines underground. Will bend if you try to hammer them into very hard soil. They should be a little more heavy duty to handle that type of situation.
