Answer:
Probably at the beginning of a run rather than within a run. It could become extremely expensive if and when you could find the entire selection of products that are required to create a functioning system.

Answer:
Greetings Ted,
My name is Tom, also known as HD116 at Home Depot's How to Community. I am here today addressing a few product questions and saw yours.
Yes, you can feed this with 60 PSI and it will reduce the pressure to 30 PSI. Whether or not you need to use one per station will depend on the design of your system.
Thank you for your question and for using this valuable service.

If you can possibly find the items that are required to connect the 1/2" devices it may work. Without the acceptable connection products, it is totally worthless

It is threaded for 1-inch but can be attached to 3/4 or 1/2-inch with reducers. These should be available in the plumbing section of Home Depot, but are not made by Orbit.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great product but not complete as described. product was incomplete as described. it was described as having an adaptor for converting to pipe. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Determined it wasn't needed I purchased this thinking I was trying to prevent a potential irrigation problem, combining a filter and regulator into one device. First, I was having a problem with one of my 8 lawn irrigation pop-ups not popping up. Instead, I solved this problem by merely capping off one of the pop-ups which increased pressure to all the others and then all of are working fine. I then increased the "field" distance of the spray to cover the area of the one I capped off. Second, I thought that a filter on the line might prevent a clog someday. But the someone told me that since my lawn system was 3/4 inch PVC lines and not a 1/2 inch to smaller drip system for plants, the chances for a clog were more remote. So all in all, I returned it without using it. Hope all this made sense. September 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, good price I needed a pressure reducer for a horse water trough. This worked well. It reduces the incoming water pressure to 30psi outgoing and also has a built-in screen sediment filter. Note: this regulator is made of plastic, so it will break in a freezing environment. May 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unacceptalbe sales of products that are not complete This product requires an output connector that is not available. Without the ability to connect this system to 1/2" tubing, it is totally worthless. What I will have to do is return it and purchase a different device. Having one part of a two part system with the second part unavailable, what good is the product at all. January 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Does exactly what you expect at an attractive price. Seems well built. April 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well Working well to control my drip system. Filter/ regulator requires 1 inch connections which should be included in the description. Other than getting the parts to connect to 3/4" no problems. June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. This product has excellent quality, feature and green features. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good I put this in with my new system to run drip to some trees and shrubs. Great at reducing pressure, haven't had any issues thus far. July 23, 2013
