Answer:
You are having the same problem that I had. I eventually got it to work somewhat...after getting soaked a bit. It is not worth the trouble. I would take it back if I were you. It's nearly impossible for me to explain it to you without a video and I think for the cost and effort...that would not be worth it for you nor I.

Answer:
Below the sprinkler head there are 2 "winged" metal clips that rotate around the center of the sprinkler head. You have to slide them into the desired position so you get the water coverage you desire. You have to squeeze the wings of the metal clips and turn to desired location. You can judge it by hand turning the sprinkler head and that will give you an idea of the coverage you'll get. Hope this Read More

20,106 sq. ft. Zinc Impact Sprinkler with Plastic Wheel Base is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful !!!! Sprinkler base is not heavy enough to support unit or keep unit upright when watering lawn. Also, hard to set watering pattern. Did not last more than a month. The plastic hose attachment is a swaged fitting and came loose. When this happened, I tossed the unit into my trash can and started using my old sprinkler. Do not waste your time and money with this sprinkler. Definitely not up to Home Depot standards. Maybe someone in management will read this review so that this item can be permanently removed from the stores since it is of such poor quality and performance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made product I purchased this lawn sprinkler because of the metal mechanism. The base was plastic, which i did not want, but it was the only one available in the store with a metal mechanism As soon as I turned on the water, water sprayed out where the hose connects to the sprinkler, then the hose holder came off. I will be returning this sprinkler and purchasing an all-metal sprinkler, which is only available online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For less that $10 it's hard to complain The sprinkler head is fine. No adjustments possible but it works great. The plastic base is very light, but it seems to be strong enough to do the job. It doesn't move from one location to another very well, my hose is too stiff and the sprinkler is too light to work well by dragging. Picking the sprinkler up and moving it be hand works just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good for the price The sprinkler head works just like the more expensive portable sprinkler with the metal base. The only difference with this one is the plastic base, which still works just as good as the metal one. I don't see how could have worked any better, and for less than $10 it worked better than expected. it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good construction, poor design This is sturdy but the design of the wire springs that control the angle of ccverage are so wide that they can only cover about 270 degrees of a circle, if that. Also, even with excellent water pressure, the diameter of coverage is less than the claimed 85 feet—it's closer to 70.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk plastic and junk. Where the hose screws on, that piece pops off. I was able to press it back on, but after it does it once it's game over. I returned it and spent the extra money on a quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impact Sprinkler This is a very nice impact sprinkler. The sprinler itself is metal. The base and wheels are plastic and a little light. But overall it is well worth the purchase price.
