I needed to replace the previous water master anti siphon valves so I went to Home Depot. Orbit is a direct replacement for my old valves. Despite the negative reviews I thought if they were a direct replacement it would be an easy fix. (Orbit is the only maker with the small width between the pipes, all others are wider). I put 5 valves in. 3 work correctly. 2 leak profusely from the actuator. Absolutely terrible quality control. I really wanted to buy American made products by these valves are JUNK! I'm going back to Champion or Lawn Genie. Cutting pipe is much more appealing than dealing with garbage valves.

installed three units in mid-august 2014. Valve seeping profusely on one unit as of 9/8/2014. Less than a month in use. Extremely disappointing. Rework is wasted time and money. How much will these units cost me?

The product is very dependable and a very good product. I have had several of these valves for more than 10 years and they still work good.

this is second time installing these siphons. The only draw back is that the valves have to be higher than the highest sprinkler/valve head. Otherwise the siphon leaks. So, I had to put a 18" riser on a graded sprinkler system. I know there is a way around this but, I thought the siphon would have a stronger valve to hold the water in the pipe.

I've been using these valve for years and have been fighting them the entire time. In the beginning they seem to work well allowing plenty of water flow. With normal use the flow will diminish over time. I just replaced another failing valve and the new one will not completely turn off the water supply. I have water weeping through the sprinkler heads 24/7. I'll be going to a different brand.
