Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Raymond use these in the sand of a professional sand sculpting championship and they help up great. I have been using the same one on some of the hoses for several years. Trust me, if they work in the sand they will work anywhere.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fred Great product if you need a positive cutoff, at the working end of the hose
If you don't like walking to the faucet every time you need to pause the working end to change the head or attachment. Then this is for you, have used in the past worn out two of them, but they worked great right up till they gave out. Will use in the future

I found the shut-off coupling handy when you have water nozzles that require that you twist them until you stop the flow of water. The lever on the coupling also allows you to restrict the flow of water.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PicRic Saves Me a Lot of Walking and Time
When I clean my mower deck with water I drive the mower to a place 30 yards from the water tap which used to mean a lot of walking to and from the tap to the mower to turn it on and off. Now I have fitted this inline valve I can turn the water on, extend the hose out to the mower and connect it and then turn the valve on so the water flows. The product is well made and the connections do not leak.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GR8 Love this product!
I love buying this product. It helps with the wear & tear on the faucet handle. Plus if your faucet handle does get a little leak, this is a quick back-up fix until you get around to replacing it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mitch Go with this flow
I use four of these valves at the end of garden hoses to either cutoff or adjust (reduce) the flow of water as I move sprinklers from area to area. They work very well in either mode.
Be cautious when purchasing - make sure the valve you buy from the box on the shelf operates before you purchase it - I found two that were so tight they would not adjust.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dav1d Much better than the plastic valve
This little gem replaced the plastic shut-off valve that lasted about 6 months before it cracked and was useless. This one is all brass body, so should last a lot longer. However, the handle is plastic, so I expect that to be the weak link. The handle is held by a single small screw at its pivot point; that screw can come loose with multiple turns. Just watch and tighten it now and then. If it gets loose, you may never find it again due to its tiny size. This unit has a nice feature in that the female connector rotates separately from the body, allowing you to keep the handle in a desired position without turning the whole thing while attaching to the end of a hose. I've had it only a couple of weeks so far, and it hasn't leaked at all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bob Best shut off for a garden hose
I would have one on all my garden hoses but I wind up giving them to friends who think they also need one for theirs.
