I have 5 of these and every year I replace at least 2 of them. On the plus side, they're pretty inexpensive and real easy to change.

Installed these on a system a few years back. Have had nothing but trouble with them(won't shut off, solenoids don't last a season, etc.). Open them up, no tears in the membrane, no junk in the valve and they still won't work. Orbit's no help. Have called them a couple times to see what's going on with them and they've got no ideas. Have Lawn Genie's on my personal residence. Have performed flawlessly. Haven't even replaced a solenoid. Orbit equipment, in general, I've found to be very low quality. Spend a little money and buy from the big guys(Rainbird, Irritrol, K Rain, Hunter). The Orbit stuff just doesn't perform.

I have two 4 valve manifold systems with these valves installed. 3 of the eight have developed leaks around the base of the solenoid. So far there isn't a replacement available for the O-ring. You have to buy a new solenoid to get a part that should cost less than a dollar.

Sheer junk. I am forced to keep replacing with the guts from the Orbit manifold I bought with the guts from these. Very poor quality, as noted, won't shut off. Spend the money and go with a commercial grade Rainbird(which HD doesn't sell) or try the Toro. I will eventually tear out the pre-made manifold
and build my own with better components.

Zone valve opens but won't close, even with power disconnected. Reviews I've read from other sites have noted the same problem. Seems to be a problem with this manufacturer.
I returned mine. Can't take the chance of flooding out if I'm gone. Going to try better manufacturer.
