Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by does a good job I installed this two years ago and it has worked well. It functions a little differently than other valves - I think not understanding this leads to some of the complaints on here. I thought I had a cracked valve and called orbits - after being on hold for 7 minutes the customer service rep said he'd send me a new diaphragm. I then took the valve apart, cleaned it and then put it back together again (with all old parts) and it was leak free. I think the "Jar top" became loose. It has been leak free since. April 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never Buy Orbit Products!!! After hours of installation and setup, I turned it on and tested with my timer. None of the valves would either totally open or totally close. It was a waste of time and money. Never by anything with the orbit name on it. I usually don't type negative comments but everyone needs to know what happened. On top of it all, I can't interchange another manufacturers valve without completely removing everything. March 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This is the worst manifold! I'm on my third replacement in a year I believe the mold process has a defective area because I keep getting a leak within the manifolds seam. Orbit customer service has been helpful with replacing the part but on my third one and it keeps popping a leak in the same area April 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised I need to replace my existing 3 zone sprinkler value hub and I didn't want to waste all day doing it. This 3 value manifold was ready to install out of the box. Cut the old values out, set the new one in place, and glued the pipes. I replaced my existing system within 30 minutes. If you can see in the picture, the wire box is not housing the wires for me because my wires are too thick and the box is too small. They just pop out. Installed a month ago and everything is working fine, no leaks and no mechanical problems so far. July 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality 2 different manifolds failed after 1 month valves horrible Looks really neat but it isn't reliable at all. I installed a 3 valve manifold and a 2 valve version a little over a month ago and 4 of the 5 valves don't work. The solenoids hum loudly and usually won't turn the valves on anymore. I noticed the lawn looked dry and turned the zones on manually, 3 of them I tried wouldn't come on at all via timer, they all made a loud humming noise at the solenoid. I checked the wire and verified the ones going to both valve boxes were good. I replaced the timer, and it still did it. One valve miraculously worked yesterday, however it stuck on all day and night until I shut the water off. I don't think mine are leaking like others have mentioned but the valves are horrible. I'll probably rip it out and put in rain bird or hunter and build the manifold myself. I even installed a filter before the manifold so I know nothing was clogging the valves. I agree with others that it looks like it will be hard to find a replacement valve from a better brand that will fit the manifold, almost like they made theirs different so you would be stuck with it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by INSTALLED MANY OF THESE... I recommend these for all my clients... new or for replacement. INSTALLING THESE FOR OVER 5 YEARS! NOTE: basic principals here to avoid leaks. Hand tighten ONLY! All water connections have O-ring gaskets and can be crushed or pinched upon too much tightening & WILL leak. I prefer the manifold-to-poly connectors which are designed to hand-screw into the poly, then pinch clamps NO WIDER CLAMPS THAN "DOG=EAR" or "PINCH CLAMPS," They will leak otherwise. Sad HD is discontinuing product... INEXPENSIVE TOO. DURABLE WHEN BLOWN OUT CORRECTLY, I HAVEN'T REPLACED ANY YET! NOTE: GET A PRO TO DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. February 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple and Easy I coupled 3 of these units together using 2 Orbit Manifold Double Swivel Unions, which you can purchase on line. This made a 9 zone system. Hook up was fast and easy, I used Teflon tape on all of the screw on connections. It has been up and running for about a month and, so far, I have not had any leaks nor have I experienced any problems. These valves are much quieter than the previous orbit valves I used with a homemade manifold. September 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not buy again I wouldn't buy this again. I did my own sprinkler system and the unit was very easy to install and worked right off the bat. Sadly two weeks later one of the valves stopped working. Could be a solenoid or diaphram issue. 2 weeks after that another valve stopped working. They have good tech support and I'm in the middle of getting it replaced since it has a 6-year warranty, but just the experience from the get-go sucks. They also can't be turned on manually, so there's that little drawback too. If I were to do it again, I would go with a more professional grade model with better valves/solinoids and ability to turn it on manually, even if it didnt come in pre-assembled... July 9, 2014
