Turn the dial to "Start Times". Make sure you are on the program that you want to change. Set start time 1 then hit the arrow to start time 2. set that and so on. The common confusion is that start times 1 through 4 (or 3 whatever it is) is associated with the stations. Station selection is only controlled in "Run Time"

Having said that, by pressing the Manual button will cycle thru all the programs you had preset and associated with one or more stations, programs and times.
Specifically it starts at ALL, meaning it will involve all stations using the greatest duration for that station and the programs that were preset for. (Note if you had set BUDGET values it will adjust durations accordingly).
If you continue pressing “manual” it will skip to the program A presets, or if you press again it will go to B...etc.
If you continue pressing past program C it will skip to programing of a specific station (i.e. 1 or 2 or ...)

4-Station Easy-Set Logic Indoor/Outdoor Sprinkler Timer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Product - The third one I have bought. I have purchased several other brands and had problems with them. These have been reliable. The instruction manual is not very good. It leaves me with doubts. Their older manuals were better.

I bought this Orbit sprinkler control box less than two years ago at Home Depot. I didn't not save the sales slip because I expected it to work for at least five years. Suddenly this month I got my water bill for more than $100 more than ever before. I checked the Orbit and it was set properly, but it had been turning on every morning this month. I had not noticed since it comes on before I get up in the morning. Now, I have two options, 1. to purchase another control box or 2. to keep the thing turned off and program it to come on each time I want it to water, and then turn it off after it has finished. In my opinion, that defeated the purpose of having a timer at all.

Its inside out of the weather I would have thought it would have lasted longer. That is the 4th one I have bought in the last 4 years 2 at my sisters house and now 2 at my house. Its easy to program and I understand it very well. The problem I had is that it would miss a scheduled time like it was in rain delay, the next time it would run like it was suppose to, I took it out of rain delay but it did the same thing. Hopefully this problem has gotten resolved. It would recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great item, lacks instructions. This item was bought as an upgrade to the one bought many years ago and to replace with a current one. My sprinkler system has a closed valve and rain detection station and the instructions inside this box does not cover any of the preexisting wiring diagrams or any instruction for connectivity. I went to the website, www.orbit.com, and even in their own website it was hard to understand. I figured it out by trial and error but it took me double the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good timer but... good timer but it doesn't have a backlight on the display. if it is low light or dark, you best have a flashlight if you need to see what is being displayed. simple to program and use but the missing backlight is a big downside if needed.
