Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Virtually indestructible After replacing many, many sprinkler heads that had been destroyed by the lawnmower, I discovered these ones with a metal cap. They are virtually indestructible, and work just great. I like the hard top so much that I wish I could buy just this part and go around replacing the caps on all my other sprinkler heads. I've installed about twenty of these, and had no problems whatsoever. I suspect that the people who are complaining about leaking heads have tried to install too many sprinkler heads on one circuit. When this happens, there's not enough water pressure to lift up the pop-up shafts, and you end up with a puddle around the sprinkler head. October 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Many Problems I've had my sprinkler system for about 6 years and have had multiple problems with the heads over the years. I finally decided to rebuild the entire system this year and used these Orbit 4" heads. I bought 6 and 4 of them were defective. All had the same problem with leaks around the seals, which limited the amount of pressure coming from the nozzle. I replaced them with Rain Bird heads and all my issues were fixed immediately. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Orbit pop up spray heads I bought a dozen pop ups, they have a great adjustable nozzle, the big problem is that the seal leaks so bad around the stem that if installed in zones they will not pop up. I know, but I have 13+ GPM to each Zone but if I try to run more that 3 heads they will not pop up without help, They just leak badly around the stems and flood the area. No pipe leaks as I tested that by closing all of the adj. nozzles and then they pop up and stay even when I turn the water back off. September 29, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by These are garbage I bought a dozen to switch my old sprinkler heads so they were not mismatch. Waste of time and money....I had to take 7 back because they leak so bad at the heads. I still have four leaking more around the heads than out on the grass. Big mistake. April 27, 2014
