This is an inexpensive easy fix if, like me you left the sprayer on your hose for the winter. When spring arrived The sprayer was not going to let go of the end of my hose. After many attempts at removal, it became evident I had to cut off the end of an expensive hose. Then I found this inexpensive little item. I'm an old lady and I easily installed this on my hose, therefore most anyone should be able to do it. A simple and inexpensive solution.

I had an old hose that I had stopped using due to some leaks at and near the the female end of the hose. I used a utility knife to cut about a foot (to make sure I removed all the places where leaks were occurring) from that end of the hose and installed this using a screwdriver. The installation took less than five minutes and there were no leaks to speak of once I reconnected to the spigot and turned on the water. For less than $4, I made a hose I was ready to pitch useful again.
