Yes. You can replace your male end with a higher quality adapter than probably came with your hose.

JP, the mender isn't solid brass - it's made of zinc, and the clamp is stainless steel.

An unfortunate moment of lapse in judgement, led to the only hose in our home damaged. So I hoped in my car and prepared my self for the decision of what hose to purchase. While in the gardening section I noticed replacement adapters, decided to give it a try rather than spend a ton of money on a new hose that i might not like. Got home, and installation couldn't have been easier. Cut off the end of the hose, popped it in and tightened. Make sure you tighten extra tight. My initial test leaked a little, once i gave it an extra elbow push, it was leak free. Works like a champ. I would recommend this product over the plastic alternatives. The sun will definitely eat it up and cause cracks. Installation took all of 5 minutes, and I was able to continue my honey-to-do list.
