This nozzle reminded me of the brass nozzles my dad had when I was a kid. They were so rugged and had this wonderful feel because of the weight, so I bought it.
Unfortunately, the design is flawed in 2 major areas.
1. The tip screws onto the body with threads that are machined into it too deep so that the threads actually break off and the tip gets blown off by the water pressure.
2. Then the o-ring apparently fails and the only way you can replace it is if you somehow remove the rubber/plastic grip to get to a screw that allows you to get it apart.
There doesn't seem to be a way to get the rubber grip off without destroying it.
I sent a detailed email to the company explaining this and asking them for help but no one has gotten back to me.
It's one thing to produce a poorly designed product but another to continue to market it knowing the problems it has.
It should be obvious to the company based on the feedback from the reviews on this site.
p.s. If I wanted to call them I would have done that instead of sending an email so please don't respond here with the phone number, just respond to my email please.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CTA Terrible product made worse by terrible, non-existent customer support
This nozzle looks nice, but within three months the barrels shot off both of the nozzles within days of each other. There is an O-ring lock in the base, but it is insufficient to hold the pieces together. It's a good thing there is a 7-year warranty--it's a bad thing that Orbit doesn't care to answer the phone, email, or pay any attention to its customers to honor it. I should have read the terrible reviews of both this product as well as the company that are posted by so many unhappy customers. It is obvious that the company profile online was written by a public relations firm with no bearing on product management, technical support, or sales support. The product is defective. The company appears to be, too.

I have to agree with the other reviewers about this product. I bought 2 of theses nozzles and both of them broke in half after less than one season. I purchased them because of the brass construction but quite frankly, they are not constructed all that well. Not recommended.

I think I was just surprised at how powerful it looked and it just did a good job. I thought I was going to need both hands to control it. Still it's been cleaning the patio just fine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy1 Heavy duty? Not so much!
I like twist nozzles because I use them with a gate valve on my hose...quick on and off. This one looked very sturdy. Last winter, which was very mild, I left it attached to the hose in an unheated shed. This spring I attached the hose and found that the nozzle had completely sheared off the knurled connected. Frozen? Nice clean shear revealed an extremely thin brass nozzle, not as thick as copper water pipe.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by T4883 Leaky Hose Nozzle
This brass nozzle appeared to be just what I wanted, heavy brass for no corrosion, easy to turn adjustment, etc. However on the second or third use is started leaking under and around the black turn knob. There is a small O-ring there that had broken and thus the leak. I have a huge assortment of standard O-rings, but the one in this nozzle is much thinner than the normal O-rings.
So I now have a paper weight!

This is a basic use nozzle. Have bought elaborate models before and have always gone back to this basic, solid one for dependability
