Customer Questions & Answers

what is the max. working water pressure? I have now 3 units fail and spraying water out the side seam. Not to happy with this product.

They're connected to normal city water pressured 3/4" pipe and I've had 3 blow-outs. These units are only 1 year old

I am on city water and have a pressure regulator after my meter. If you are using an irrigation pump you may want to use a regulator valve readily available from the big box stores. Cost is about $60.00.

how many emitters can be on each of the 8 ports

Asked by: ERBGO
I have had as many as four, however the flow drops off with the addition of each emitter. I use 1 gpm emitters and the flow on the manifold will handle four per port. The flow may be less than the total of all emitters on that port.

does this work with gravity like a rain barrow or is it only a pressureized system?

I need to build a watering system for out on a farm field, I have 55 gal barrows that will set on a trailer. Gravity feed, battery hose timer. I will fill the containers with water from the pond & use a tractor to take them to the top of the hill. I have no power out their. Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Maybe, but the higher the pressure the better since there is a lot of loss in the 1/4 inch hose. You may want to use this item with the 1/4 inch hoses and no mini-sprinkler heads. Just run the 1/4 inch hose directly to the plant and use the mini-stakes to hold them in place.

port caps

If I choose not to use all eight ports and leave the caps on two of them will the two with the caps on leak or do i need to attach a small piece of hose with a plug
Asked by: truckinforever
The caps are one of the best features for this product. If you don't need a port, leave the cap screwed on. Mine do not leak.

The other one had a cap that can be twisted off. After four years, the cap got blown off by the pressure of the water. This one doesn't have a cap that can be twisted off. The unit appears to be totally sealed so I shouldn't have to risk incurring an unexpected spike in my water bill due to a blown cap. The water pressure for each port can be adjusted via a flat head screwdriver; whereas, the other manifold allowed the pressure to be adjusted by hand which is more convenient.

This is a really helpful manifold for distributing water to small sprayers and drip irrigation heads. I used in our garden plot with great success. It is really easy to use, seems durable. I like that the unused ports have a screw cap, rather than a slide-on cover. The ports swivel, which helps to direct the sprayer tubes in the right direction. This is much better than what my irrigation contractor first installed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A tip from a first timer It was really hard to insert the supply lines in the 8 dispensers. The second one I did I heated the supply line with a lighter just a little and they were a lot easier to install. Checked for leaks, didn't know if the integrity of the lines would be compromised because of the heat, they all worked fine on all 8 Co nections with out leaks

Very well made for the complex design. Works well, just difficult to store caps on top of device. If you choose 1 station on your sprinkler system, you can put a short male/male riser piece in and screw on this device to dedicate it to the drip lines. Easy to water pots automatically.

This manifold was easy to install and adjustments are sensitive but easy to manage. I like this better than the knob turning type of manifold adjustments because it is easier to manage and doesn't pop off as easily. I have only used it for a month now but all is ok.
