what is the max. working water pressure? I have now 3 units fail and spraying water out the side seam. Not to happy with this product.

They're connected to normal city water pressured 3/4" pipe and I've had 3 blow-outs. These units are only 1 year old

does this work with gravity like a rain barrow or is it only a pressureized system?

I need to build a watering system for out on a farm field, I have 55 gal barrows that will set on a trailer. Gravity feed, battery hose timer. I will fill the containers with water from the pond & use a tractor to take them to the top of the hill. I have no power out their. Thanks

how many emitters can be on each of the 8 ports

Asked by: ERBGO
I have tried 3 but the maximum should be 2. The second emitter should not be more than 2 to 3 feet from the 1st. A lot depends on the type of water pressure you have. These 8 manifold ports are engineered to spray 3-4 feet in the pattern of the sprayer, any thing additional lowers your pressure and thus lowers your coverage but you can get away with 1 or 2 additional sprayers per Manifold..

port caps

If I choose not to use all eight ports and leave the caps on two of them will the two with the caps on leak or do i need to attach a small piece of hose with a plug
Asked by: truckinforever
The caps will prevent leaking. I would also suggest using a flathead screwdriver to close the ports not in use. When the port is closed, you don't even need a cap. However I keep the caps on to prevent dirt from entering the ports.

8-Port Adjust Flow Manifold (1/Tag) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A tip from a first timer It was really hard to insert the supply lines in the 8 dispensers. The second one I did I heated the supply line with a lighter just a little and they were a lot easier to install. Checked for leaks, didn't know if the integrity of the lines would be compromised because of the heat, they all worked fine on all 8 Co nections with out leaks

This manifold is superior to earlier types and can be adjusted easily to connect to up as many as 8 lines. Each of the 8 outlets can now be separately adjusted for water pressure or shut off with supplied caps if necessary. An eSsential part of any water irrigation system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from After Trying Many Others, This Is the Only Manifold That I'll Buy I've been buying these manifolds for several years to replace other manifold models or for conversions to drip. Depending on the location, I have these mounted on risers or have them installed below ground in 7 inch round irrigation boxes. What little leakage I''ve had is where the riser enters the manifold. Nothing a little Teflon tape doesn’t fix. Likes: - Swiveling connectors allow connection in tight spaces. - Strainer is removable for cleaning without disconnecting the tubes. - Valves are easily accessible from the top. - Once they’re connected, tubes won’t come off without being cut. Dislikes: - It requires a lot of pressure to get the tubing to fully slide over the connector barbs - Once they’re connected, tubes won’t come off without being cut.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK,But- An ok product, with a couple of aggravations. First, it seems like the flow requires adjustment(at each port) every time the manifold is used. Second, the ports are not identified. This means that if a port needs adjustment, it is necessary to follow the hose from each dripper to the appropriate port. Both of problems do not exist in another 8 port manifold (Raindrip). Only time will tell about the quality/value of the product. Since there is an equal product available at the same price, without the shortcomings, I would hesitate to recommend it.
