When the unit is attached to the faucet can you turn the knobs to the on position without using a screw driver? If so how?

Answer:
Just move the handles back and forth a little bit at installation. Then leaving them in line with the hose connection they are on. Switch to horizontal and they are closed angled out at 45 degrees. Anywhere in between and it will be partially open.

Answer:
Yes you can, using your thumb and forefinger turn the black lever to position them in line with the outlet faucet, that would be on. Turn the opposite direction and that would be off.

Answer:
Hi Lorraine. The black handles attached to the Hoe Y with Shut-Off are large enough to grip with a thumb and finger. Simply turn the handle to the on position by twisting the handle. Thanks for the question!

I can't get a leak free connection to the spigot with this adapter. It spurts out the top every single time, and it's hand tight.

Does it have a good washer in it? I don't understand why it's leaking. Mine isn't so if it has a good washer and is still leaking you may want to exchange it.

Answer:
I have no idea if it is lead free; Considering it's made in China, I doubt it. If you plan on using it for potable water, I'd call a reputable plumbing company and ask their advice. Plastic might work but I don't know if it would be suitable.

I have cheap metal garden hose valves that don't break when frozen. Will these crack if frozen, like the plastic ones do?

Answer:
If there is water in them when they freeze, there is a chance they will crack. This is true of nearly all metal valves.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great I needed a double faucet for my soaker hose. This works great for my needs May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Metal is Good / Plastic: Not So Much The Balls inside that do the work of cutting off the water are made of plastic, they tend to not seal over time. Meaning they leak when closed. They definitely will not stand up under heavy use. If you can close both valves and blow air through it, in my opinion that is not good. May 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by y splitter works good so i can use a hose but still have a faucet for just running water at. May 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works great easy to install works well with my hose great product May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk I would expect this product to be better quality...it is not used heavily, and the two tap handles remain in the same position most of the time. Despite this, moving one tap handle from on to off caused the plastic handle to snap off. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rate this product seems to be very well constructed and was simple to use, just open and install, the washers were al in the unit February 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY GOOD PRODUCT PRODUCT WORKED FINE FOR US GOOD FIT AND FINISH FOR ITS INTENDED USE January 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Splits your water This y-adaptor is rather on the flimsy side, very lightweight, but it's priced accordingly. More importantly, in the few weeks that I've owned it, it has done the job it's designed to do. December 29, 2015
