I don't know why the gripes about the hose connection. I think the design is great but remember, the connector is plastic, not metal, so will not stand up to the hose being dragged along the lawn without support, which is easily provided by holding the hose with the other hand. The design makes it easier to do this than those horizontal connectors at the top of the bottle.
The product itself worked great. I am now able to spend time in the back yard without my legs ending up itching. The front yard had numerous white moths flying all over the place when I mowed. They're now gone! I've got a pretty good sized yard but there was plenty of product to spray all of it, a whole lot cheaper than a professional lawn company and therefore a great value in price. I'm definitely pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by GeorgeBar The hose connection can cause problems
The design of the hose connection has some issues. It might be difficult for some people to get a proper grip on the connecter. It is rather close to the bottle so a thumb and an index finger cannot fully grip and turn the connector. It's not impossible though. However, if there is leak during spraying, as there was in my case, reacting quickly is almost impossible.
The hose connector is not 100% rigid. It is somewhat pliable. So if you're trying to reach to the maximum length with your hose and you happen to twist it, be warned, the hose connector will allow the hose to slip out. In my case it only twisted partially out and a powerful stream drenched my left leg with the poison.
So the hose was partially in the connector but lodged tightly. Like a child-proof cap that gets stuck on a bottle of aspirin. With the product spraying all over the hose and the connector were also soaked, making an already impossible grip even more difficult because my plastic gloves slipped over the surface. Now in this case the flexible connector worked in my favor because I was eventually able to twist the hose out.
I started over again, this time being careful not to twist the hose inadvertently and I was able to get some product on the lawn. But not much. Most of it went on my leg and in one spot on the lawn. We'll see how well it works when 25 women come to my daughter's baby shower for brunch tomorrow. I'll hear about it if they get attacked by mosquitoes.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by AMFAM Does not work.
First of all, the product just doesn't work. Sprayed heavily, and bugs are still everywhere. Secondly, the product does not meet the sq footage the directions indicate. Barely covered a small back yard.

I used this to help with the summertime bugs in the back and front lawns. This DID NOT work at all. The spray bottle leaked so when I went to use it I had to make sure I was wearing a swim suit. I would recommend this product to anyone. I expected it to preform better coming from a great brand.

I bought this to eradicate spittle bugs that had invaded my Zoysia lawn. They eat the roots in the larvae stage and can destroy you grass in a month or so.. It took three (3) applications because of the hatching cycle of the spittles but it worked. I am now bug free (spittle bugs anyway). I was careful to stay on the grass to avoid harming the beneficial insects I have encouraged over the years (lady bugs, mantis, etc).
Your mileage may vary,
