how to set liquid dial

Asked by: Willie
The dial sticks out of the side of the unit. You simply spin it to the dilution you need. There are several ounce-per-gallon and teaspoon options.

Customer Reviews

Dial 'N Spray Hose End Sprayer is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 180.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I should have looked at the reviews of this product! I returned it. It looked great and was backed by a known company (Ortho). I followed the instructions and started spraying. Eventually, I noticed all of the chemical was gone and the sprayer kept spraying. I called Ortho support and asked how was I to know when the chemical ran out. The reply was you should SMELL the difference! I stated the chemical was orderlies. She said you should see the product was gone. The chemical was a very light yellow and I only had 2 fluid ounces in the container to begin with. Next, I tried to water down the chemical so there was a larger amount to see when the chemical was gone. This time the sprayer was LEAKING just above the hose attachment! I then used Google to search the Internet for reviews of the sprayer. Sure enough, a large number of complaints were about leaking at the hose attachment fitting! I returned the product and was promptly refunded its purchase price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaked everywhere I was spraying bleach. There were leaks within the body of the sprayer. The hose connection was fine but a bleach/water mixture was pouring out of the trigger and handle. Now my lawn clothes have a nice new splattered bleach look to them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Quite possibly the worst product I have ever bought. Water doesn't just drip it shoots out from the "seals", container falls off, etc. Ortho should be embarrassed to have their name on this and HD should not be selling it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor! Read the warranty in the bottle and you will not buy it! Unlike all previous Ortho Sprayers, this voids the warranty if you use anything but Ortho Products! You cannot even use soapy water! I put in Liquid Fence after buying the sprayer 2 days ago. It lasted 10 minutes. They put this silly filter on the end of the pick-up tubing and it blocks any liquid heavier than water. Just what were you trying to accomplish with that screen? If you need the screen to be able to have the adjustable head streams, then make three sprayer heads to rotate and lock on so you can remove and clean out! C'mon, don't use the screen My last Ortho sprayer went 15 years. Going to Ace, not HD, and buying a competitor. $2 more, so what! It works!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from INSIDE HOSE IS WAY TOO LONG The insert hose on the inside of this sprayer is almost a foot long and they bent it to get it inside the bottle. It's brand new, I spent an hour using this on my lawn only to see the level had not dropped one bit and when I checked inside the hose is so crimped from you shoving it inside the bottle it will not un-crimp to use this product.. it was a total was of my money and especially my time. Make the hoses on the inside shorter and this product would be great.

During first use siphon didn't work. Found that a kinked draw-tube was the cause. Tube was kinked because it was about 4" too long. Cut it down and sprayer worked fine. The downturned hand grip was also a problem as it made hose awkward to connect. Once working, coverage was good and easy to use. We'll see if it lasts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I had an Ortho Dial Sprayer for more than 20 years, so when it finally broke, I decided to replaced it with this new generation. This sprayer leaked in multiple places like a seive. Very poor quality & materials lead to returning it. The other comment I have regards the trigger. Way too stiff, when spraying for more than 1-2 minutes.
