I have millions of fire ants living in my yard. They were all over my trees, patio furniture, bbq and house. I threw this line down 6 inches up from the base of my patio furniture (mid leg) and then had no more ants or beatles crawling up my furniture. I did the same on the wheels of my bbq to the same effect.
In order to keep them out of my house I did all my exterior door jams, edged my windows and threw a line around my entire foundation. I now have 0 ants/beatles and even less spiders inside my residence.
I then edged the border of my pathway and driveway and no longer have any ants attaching me as I walk from home to vehicle.

My husband and I moved into our first home and the other day we saw two hoards of box elder bugs nestled under the siding on one outdoor wall of the house. They are my LEAST favorite invaders.. aside from spiders, of course. We live in Michigan and are used to all sorts of unwelcome guests and we knew moving into a house from an apartment that we'd need to do a lot more outdoor work.
Used this product for the first time yesterday on the perimeter of our home and in the garage (around all doors and windows like suggested) and already we have spiders and box elders laying around DEAD! Haven't seen any living bugs even close to the home. If this keeps up, I think we've found our answer to bug control!!!! This is definitely a miracle product if you use it as instructed!!!

I wanted to believe. I wanted to write a "it was awesome" review. Truth is, it doesn't work. PERIOD! I live in a small house in Missouri with no basement. A crawl space. Two adults in the house who are VERY clean. No food or dirty dishes left out, and food in plastic containers. Have roaches. Took nearly everything out of the house before using. Used the spray EVERYWHERE. 5 days later, still have the same roach problem and see even more baby ones than before! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! If someone knows what DOES work, please advise me here.

I love the product, I hate the battery sprayer. Please put the old
sprayer back on the jugs. Don't fix what isn't broken. The battery operated sprayer leaks a lot. It's hard to stop when you are in a
tight place spraying into corners and such.
PLUS, the new sprayer added a LOT to the in store cost of the product. Another brand of home defense has the old sprayer and is 1/3 the cost of the Ortho. Yes, 1/3 the cost. I hope the product is good or the bugs will be loving my yard.

For starters, yes. This stuff kills everything, fast. But so does Raid and Black Flag and a number of other cheaper aerosol cans that are far easier to use for instantly killing a lot of nasties at once. That's why the "average value" and "average quality" ratings.
The sprayer is terrible. It has a "laser" mode, a fog type spray mode, and a slightly mistier spray mode. Per the label, for outdoor defense, it needs to be sprayed in a 12" band. None of these spray modes really facilitate that. What it really needs is a wide, flat, "high" pressure sprayer for outdoor, and a slightly narrower one for indoor use.
There is little to no lingering effect. I've now used two jugs of this on the perimeter of my house. And yes, whenever I use it, things die. Lots of them. However, after emptying two jugs in three weeks, there shouldn't be lots of them left to die; but there they are. More black widows every time I turn around. With the sprayer supplied, it is exceedingly difficult to apply in accordance with the label, and takes quite a while. I have a small house. Small garage. Smaller yard. With the concentration and amount I've had to put down, is a miracle my dog and I are still standing. But we are, and so are our black widows.

We have used this product for a couple of years now and it does the best job so far on fleas, ants, spiders, HUGE black water bugs and those icky nasty german water roaches.....we live by the local water filtration plant AND where 3 rivers come together so our yard is sandy dirt which fleas thrive in and this year they were EXTREMELY bad due to the drought then the constant rainfall which caused the flea population to explode the worst i have ever seen...we r still trying to rid our pets of them but they are dying off fairly quick due to this product being used in the home....now we are dealing with a bed bug problem...nothing has worked on those so far so we are hoping this may have an effect even though they aren't listed on the label as being one of the creepy crawlies this product is for... i will post on here and let everyone know how well it works on those nasty buggers.
