Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holy cow _ who knew I'd review a mouse trap I bought these Tomcat traps - Ortho not available in my store, and they bought Tomcat - because someone ate a hole thru our briefcase in the attic and 1 ran across the family room thanks to abandoned house next door suddenly being flipped. I bought 3 packs and in one night caught 1 with peanut butter. Next night put out 2 traps and caught 2. Every trap clicked into position and caught a mouse in < 24 hrs. Bought 3 more packs. Hopefully they will get the picture that their family members are disappearing and they will leave my house 4ever. I do not reuse just discard so as not to touch or look at nasty, filthy carcus. Highly recommended! Plan to keep going until traps empty for 5 days like CDC recommended. August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the low price I'm not a fan of these. Had trouble getting them locked into a set position. Doesn't kill effectively so you end up trying to find how far it went before they died, gave up or got loose again. When they just give up dragging it they (at least once) were still alive when I picked the trap up. Cheap plastic design - "teeth" do nothing to enhance them August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to set! Works well! Easy to set. Quality materials! Works Well! Sturdy. August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works, but not perfectly I recently discovered we had a mouse (maybe mice? Have only seen one yet) and went and got four of these. Set them up around the kitchen where the mouse had been spotted. Thought I heard a trap snap a bit later, went and checked. Mouse caught! Or was it? In the 5 minutes between seeing the caught mouse and coming back to dispose of the thing it somehow escaped the trap and was now rolling around in the kitchen half crushed. Had to take the critter out and finish the job. Waiting to see if the remaining traps get any more. Hopefully they finish the job next time. Recommending with a side of caution that the trap may not successfully kill and hold the mouse March 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NO MORE WOODEN TRAPS! This trap absolutely blows those wooden traps out of the water! I bought 2 packs for a total of 4 traps, and baited them with good ol' peanut butter, and simply set the trap where I wanted it and clicked the trigger into place with one finger. Simple as that....no snapped fingers! Within 2 hours I had caught 4 mice! The other wooden traps I had set out before just had the bait licked clean off without being tripped! I never had to touch the dead animals to discard them, and the plastic construction was so easy to clean and reuse. And the peanut butter was still in the deep little cup, so no more stolen bait! I will NEVER use anything else again to catch mice.....this is the best trap ever! June 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Killed those pesky mice within 30 minutes! I discovered mice living behind our fridge today. When I pulled out the fridge, two of them went scurrying into the living room! I read great reviews about this mouse trap, went to Home Depot to purchase a few sets, came home, put peanut butter in the food cup, and set the traps near where I thought they were hiding. Sure enough, as evening (and darkness) set, the mice ventured out of their hiding space and I heard a SNAP! Went in and found the first one dead in the trap. Shortly thereafter, I heard the second SNAP! and found the other mouse dead. These are effective and safe, no poison involved or slow deaths. Quick. No blood or gore either. And easy to dispose of dead critter without touching it. November 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally a trap that caught the mouse We had a pesky little mouse sighted in our apartment. The terminator lay a lot of those glue traps and poison, but we kept seeing him for 3 weeks. We tried the wooden snap traps but after seeing the bait eaten from them figured out we hadnt set them properly and trying to set them snapped my fingers 3 times! After the great reviews of this bought this trap. So much easier to set you just click it back where you are going to set it. Took another week or so but it got our mouse! And not bloody or anything and can be bleached and re-used. Great product, great price! February 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by If you have mice, you have to have this product. Placed these traps in our crawl space with a pumpkin seed covered by peanut butter. Next morning, got this guy. So far 2 mice down. Traps set for another night! Easy to clean out and reuse. I haven't seen any blood. These just break the mice's neck, seems pretty quick and humane. I have never used the wooden traps, but they look hard to load. These really work with just one squeeze. And they seem pretty solid, I think they will catch a few mice before breaking!!
