Answer:
Yes, it works wonderfully for roaches. I put it down in a roach infested house that I was about to rent and the next day I swept thousands of roaches up. Never seen another roach alive after that. It worked for years even after I swept and mopped.

Answer:
Boric acid is the best treatment for roaches, but it takes a couple of weeks to show effects. However, the roaches carry it to their nest and other roaches eat it there. Check label for Sevin.

No. Absolutely not. This product is for outdoor use only. It has a strong smell and would be, in my opinion, a health hazard. Use an insect/ant spray that is designed for indoor use.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 235 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best product on the market I live in North Texas on an acre lot without curbs and gutters, so every rain brings new colonies washing in from neighboring yards. Once the rains stop and colonies can be seen, I apply Orthene and the mounds are typically dead in 1-2 days with no follow up required. The only problem I have is finding Orthene in stores locally as the big boxes sell out quickly. I've been forced to buy other brands as a result and having to repeat treatments 2-3 times. Do the math, and Orthene is the better value. October 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by THE BEST FIRE ANT KILLER BAR NONE! We live in the Arizona high desert and we have fire ants here... and they were spreading like crazy. We tried literally everything until we tried this, none of it worked. First time out Ortho Orthene worked amazingly and FAST! Sprinkle it and it's done! It also works great on black ants here too. This eliminated ALL ants from our property. Other products we tried in the past it was like chasing them around the yard. This DOES get the queen and the whole colony. We will never be without this product again! And... we can walk in our yard again without being stung, and our dog can relax in the yard without being stung too. Thank you ORTHO company... PLEASE do not change a thing about this wonderful product, it works GREAT! August 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest Product Ever I now have my backyard back. 24 hours after I applied the Orthene Fire Ant Killer to 2 ant hills, and my back patio where the ants had established a trail, my yard was ant free. Both hill were dead and the trail was gone. September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good product.... good sub for Bayer product. both kill mounds quickly. high price for quick kill October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by IT WORKS! The only product I have found that kills fire ants effectively. Just hold your nose, it smells bad! October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This seems to be the only product that works in 24 hours, the mound is dead. I live in the country and mounds pop up after a rain, this product works in 24 hours, the mound is full of holes and crumbles. Follow directions, does not take much. Use during their feeding times, I usually stir or kick just a little to get them out and about. This is one of the few non organic products I use. Pets seem to spot the white powder and stay away, they do not like fire ants either. I have tried them all! September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is the best for ants, only need a little bit, I use a tooth pick to poke holes in the top and sprinkle it over the perimeter of the mound, if I do it the day before I plan to weed, I don't get attacked!! October 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Best fire ant killer I've used. Only one guaranteed to get rid of mounds within a few hours. I have never found a nest with ants still in it the next day and the litter of corpses around the nest testifys to it's working. Only reason it doesn't get an excellent rating is because of the smell, my kid's call it 'f*rt in a bottle'. October 18, 2016
