Answer:
No. Absolutely not. This product is for outdoor use only. It has a strong smell and would be, in my opinion, a health hazard. Use an insect/ant spray that is designed for indoor use.

Answer:
Boric acid is the best treatment for roaches, but it takes a couple of weeks to show effects. However, the roaches carry it to their nest and other roaches eat it there. Check label for Sevin.

I have dusted my clothing with the product and had not problem eliminating the smell with normal machine washing, I would only say maybe your using to much or not mixing it with the dirt. I know the directions say do not mix but I think that works best. It does stink when it used.

Answer:
Mehdi, the odor will dissipate with time. Watering or rain will increase the odor, so make sure to avoid watering the areas. Once the ants have died, mixing the product with soil or covering with soil may help to reduce the smell.

Answer:
You may have used too much, it should clear up after about 2 weeks. Watering will initially heighten the smell, but it may accelerate the dissipation.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smells so bad you'll think it also killed an animal I agree this stuff works but be warned about the smell. You will think you have a dead animal nearby. That's what've thought the next day but it was this product. Threw it away the next day. There has to be a alternative to this that doesn't ruin your patio time. Even after hosing it down it still stinks bad.... August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. I have used this product for years it works great highly recommend be careful with pets when using it August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good fire ant killer This product seems to take care of individual fire ants colonies very quickly. Just sprinkle on lightly around the mound and surrounding area. They come swarming out and take the bait and seem to disappear next day. The only problem I have seen is that a new colony will pop up in the yard days later several feet away from the one the was treated. I don't know if that is a completely new group of ants or survivors from the treated colony. Product smells awful so keep sealed up somewhere safe. Container is a little difficult to use without getting on yourself. I would suggest some type of twist top with shaker holes. Container is only less than half full and seems like you are not getting a good deal because of that. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All bugs The best for bugs I will recommend this product to everyone I know August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Totally Confused I am 76 years old and I have fought fire ants for years. Someone recommended the Orthene Fire Ant killer. I applied on one bed and another bed 10 feet away under the same circumstances. Next day I was shocked to see what amounted to about 1/2 cup of dead fire ants lying in a pile on bed A. I stirred the bed and did not find one live ant. I then searched the bed 10 feet away, bed B and could not find one dead ant. I stirred the bed and the ants poured out. Why did I have such great results with the one bed and zero results on the other? Both beds are fire ant beds and I applied at the same time under the same circumstances. Again, I am completely confused. I applied to bed A and bed B within minutes of one another. I know fire ants and both beds are fire ant beds. What could have happened. I have applied once again to bed B so I am eager to see what happens. I am a retired college art instructor and a very good designer. I would like to see a better way to dispense the dust without using my plastic spoon. I think Ortho should at least include a plastic spoon of the proper dimensions. Has anyone else had an experience similar to mine? I own a Facebook group with more than 7000 members and I am confused as to how to report back to the group.. Bed A, 100% effective. Bed B, 100% ineffective.. By the way, the smell was not that bad! Are we a bunch of wimps <G> I was in the US Army and a does of the chemical I encountered would have you guys dropping like flies! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Product Applying the product is simple. Only takes a Tablespoon sprinkled over the ant mound. However, you do need to monitor the mound for a week or two. My ants returned twice. Plus, when you open the container, be careful of your location. I opened the product in my garage to take to my yard. The horrible smell within the container remained in the garage for a week. It smelled potent. I would recommend the product, because I did observe it work. But you still need to monitor. July 2, 2016
