CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by does its job purchased 6 sheets to insulate an 8x10 utility shed converted into a cat barn. it has allowed me to turn the thermostat down on the oil heater from previous years. i would say that the barn is now 15-20 degrees warmer than what it's been in the past. i forgot that cats have toenails and enjoy kneading them on each other, me and walls. they've shredded some sheets after 3 months but not severely enough to affect the R value. Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to work with and great insulation I've used this product to insulate the back of my garage door, as well as other applications where full batt inslulation isn't required. It's easy to cut (score and break), lightweight, and easier to work with than fiberglass (no mess). I'd recommend it to anyone. November 14, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to install, lightweight, dual purpose We've not completed the basement yet, but the Foamular went up pretty easy. There was some problems with adhesive not holding but that wasn't this product's issue. some sheets did have a bit of warp to them so it was hard to keep them flat against the wall. We finally used some spare 2x4's to hold the sheets in place overnight until the glue set. October 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy DIY option I have a strange situation here in my addition where there is a closet up next to the exterior wall, of which previously only had paneling directly on the studs with the 3" fiberglass, this was causing a huge amount of heat loss. If you have a similar situation, this will be great for right against the studs, and then wallboard on top of that. (It's recommended online you also use a plastic vapor barrier.) This is working great as extra protection over the 3" fiberglass. This works out to a combined R17, higher is always better, but this cuts down on the cold drafts significantly - more than enough for similar situations. (Tip: Not sure if this is the 'right' way to do this, but on the seems if you have any leaks, as you probably will unless you're an expert at cutting the stuff - use foil HVAC tapes to cover the seems.) Rated 5 out of 5 by Vapor barrier(poly) on the inside wall. If you install a vapor barrier (poly or similar material) make sure it is on the cold side and not on the inside. It can be very destructive to your wall construction, causing rapid rot and mold/mildew. This product breaths and is not a vapor barrier. Check with you local city inspector if you aren't sure.
