Answer:
Yes there is. Owens Corning sells it. Just look for attic faced. But be sure you are placing the kraft facing on the warm side. If you already have insulation in your attic and there is a Kraft facing already in place with the existing, do not add additional Kraft faced insulation to increase your R value. Use unfaced. You don't want a double vapor barrior.

There is no faced insulation in attic's. All insulation that goes into the attic has no backing or to be faced at all. This saves you money and time. Answer:
Do you mean Kraft faced? Try r30 batts with Kraft paper facing down in the attic. Batts are easiest to work with in the attic (rather than a long roll) and yes they are faced.

Answer:
If a product is labled 'Kraft' , it is 'faced'. Kraft Facing is the brown paperback insulation. Unfaced insulation is fiberglas only, no facing. Owens Corning does make Kraft Faced insulation in several different R-Values. Please speak with The Home Depot in your local area. They should be able to advise what is available to your area.

You will need 25 bags that will leave you with 50sq feet of wiggle room. You will have 1350 sq feet of insulation. Remember to staple the sides up so it will stay up and it goes up very fast, good luck.
Hope that helps?

It would depend on weather or not your going to double up insulation, or have a single layer, and what R-value your trying to reach. It would be best for you to speak with The Home Depot in your area. They can assist you in ordering the appropriate amount for your project.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than the huge roll and much better than lowes Great insulation and much more appealing to the eye (and a better value) than the same insulation at Lowes. I applied this R30 between the joists of my new addition and was amazed how easy it was to instal over the continuous rolls. There was a noticeable difference in the floor temperature as soon as I installed it. I also covered the insulation with plywood to protect it from the elements and moisture. Here's a tip, if you're buying more than a few try and get a pre bundled pack (they're wrapped in plastic mesh which makes transporting them much easier). Pay attention to the rebates as well. Here in California we have a local utility rebate as well as the federal tax credit!! March 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible quality control! I picked up a 4 of these in a large wrapped bundle at my local HD. I made the mistake of opening the bundles and packages the day I had to do the insulation work. To my horror, all of the pieces in *all 4* bags (44 total pieces) had the kraft paper glued on incorrectly/crooked/off-center. Some even had big splotches of deep pink coloring chemicals. One was so bad that the paper was glued on all crinkled on less than half of one side! The problem with the paper being off center is that one side has too much paper to staple and the other has none. Terrible, terrible, terrible. To think I was going to buy another product and figured it's better to go with the name brand. Now I have to compress them back in order to return them. Arrrgh. Lesson: Check the ends before you buy this! October 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent product 4' batts are easy to handle when installing overhead as i am in a crawlspace. eco touch is nowhere as itchy or as many fibers in the air as old fiberglass insulation & floor is much warmer now. June 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Too bad it does not come in rolls The R-30 with the backing is what I was looking for to put between the boards to staple up. The only thing I found was the cut pieces, this does make it easy to work with and easy to cut if you are careful. Remember to wear long shirts, mask, and something over the eyes in case something falls in. This stuff is very easy to work with and goes up fast and easy. I am going to put this up in between the floors to help with the sound and help keep the floors hot and cooler also. This is the reason I am picking the R-30. Both are easy to work with on the R-30 with and with out backing. The backing I need is to staple up if in the attic then go with out the backing. Between walls go with the backing where you need it. August 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall not a bad product I just installed 36! packages of it in the crawl space. The packages kind of explode once you cut the plastic bag and the insulation expands to 3-4 times the size. Some batts didn't expand to the 9-1/2" size but only to 4"-5" and I had to pull them to size. The product cuts easily with a box cutter. There are little loose pieces but if you install it overhead there are still plenty of fibers to fall on you and make you itch. April 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product and easy install Product does not have the fibrous dust that other competitive products have which makes it much more user friendly. July 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Easy to install. Low dust level and no itch. Easy to cut with hd mineral wool insulation saw. House floor is noticeably warmer with r30 in the crawl space. HD online order system worked great. Pallet was ready for my pick up at the requested time. April 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It has very little loose fibers It is a good product with very little loose fibers. Just remember to open the bag where you need. The volume really increases when opened. It would be helpful for pricing it the square footage was included in the product description. May 28, 2012
