What are the thoughts of rolling the 24" X 48" batts up and tie them for carrying to their location in the attic?

I have narrow openings that do not allow me to carry the bags up to the attic. I was thinking of rolling each batt (150 batts) up and throwing in to the attic through the gable vent...haven't been back home to give it a try yet. I did carry 9 batts up the extension ladder and squeeze them through the 18" X 22" gable opening last night before deciding I need to regroup and come up with a plan lol. Anyone have any thoughts on this???

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by R-30 It insulated as designed. 4 thumbs up. I would use it again if construction wasn't so expensive October 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No info on the coverage per bundle No info on line does not tell u what u need before going to the store September 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality insulation just slightly expensive Cheaper than price of some batts but still almost twice that of similar rolled insulation. Not sure why batts have to be expensive. It does fluff out very easily and nicely compared to the R30 rolled I picked up. Also fun to open up, slice a bag open and look out you've got a big pile of insulation on your hands. Kids would love watching that part of it, even adults slightly amused at how much volume is in one of these bags. Used these batts as first layer of an R60 combo. Second layer ownes R30 unfaced rolled. The insulation on the batts seams bit fluffier and better quality. They're a nice size too and easy to piece together and get up into an attic opening. Plan to do rest of the house with same stuff. Will need 7 more bags. These bags are pretty heavy and bulky so eat your wheaties before heading out to the store. February 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The R-30 fiberglas insulation in a bag was easy to install The 24" x 48" Batts by Owens Corning were a pleasure to work with. The last experience I had with fiberglas batt insulation was years ago. I remember that after working a few hours, my hands and arms were very itchy. I tried wearing gloves but that was pretty clumsy. The material has been greatly improved and there is no more discomfort installing it. It was just amazing to watch the batts expand to their full depth, after the bags were split open. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the insulation has made a huge difference in the warmth of the house. A friend installed it for me - the batts were a lot of work to put in the car and then carry up a flight of stairs. But I got 9 batts and it was more than enough for the attic. The house is much warmer, you could feel the difference immediately. The installation was done on Thanksgiving morning and took about 5 hours for an 875 square foot attic. January 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's insulation . . .it isn't complicated It installed just fine. What else can I say? It's insulation. Install it and reap the rewards. February 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Stands up to all expectations, easy to install and worth the price. July 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A+ Great insulation at a great price. Paper backed and ready to cut down your heating and A/C costs. August 21, 2012
