Answer:
Studs aren't normally !8" on center, they're usually 16" on center. If for some reason your spacing is larger, I would go with the wider (22-1/2") product and cut it to fit. If the spacing is 16", I would highly recommend it. The mini rolls are handy and the price/ sf is cheaper than the full rolls.

Answer:
I have never seen eighteen inch center studs, measure from one stud to the same side of the next. It should be sixteen or twenty four. If it is eighteen then you need to use twenty four inch and cut it to fit you void, you should use unfaced and put-up a six mil vapor barrier plastic. To rip the insulation compress it with a board and a sharp knife. Good luck.

Answer:
its 15 inches wide and 39 feet long
15x39=585 inches
585 total inches divided by 12 inches in a foot
585/12=48.75 total coverage
the price (currently) $12.80/48.75= so the total purchase cost is about .26 cents a foot. Hope that helps

Yes, fiberglass insulation can be used in various locations--between floors, attic floor, etc. Also, the roll can be cut into batts and used in walls.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the product!! I used this product on about 1500 sqr ft of walls that were 8'8" tall & 16 o.c. I cut the product at 8'10" tall and fitted it in the wall cavities without stapling. The lengths of the rolls made it much easier than using batts becasue I could cut to the exact length that I needed for the odd height of the wall cavities. Also, I have used other insulation manufacturer products and they seem to put out a lot more fiber dust. The Eco Touch product didn't cause the eye or skin irritation that I've experienced with other brands. July 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product & great price! I installed this product in the 2x4 walls of a custom home that's being built. The product was easy to cut & easy to use. I've used Certainteed insulation products before & the Owens Corning product is much less dusty, softer & easier to handle. I didn't even wear gloves at times when installing the material and didn't have any issues. Great product! July 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too smelly for me to chance an install I've had a few rolls of this in the space I have been preparing for insulation. I noticed a smell when taking these out of my car, and more strongly later after they have been inside. It smells like burnt caramel or sugar. I can't take the chance of installing this behind drywall and have a permanently smelly room. I will be returning this and purchasing another product. June 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by real good deal very soft. this was cheapest per square foot that I've seen in a while. July 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent quality and a true value item! 32 feet per roll is just what I need. Purchased 14 rolls, of good quality, great price insulation. I now have an enclosed porch that can be truly a 4 season living space. With Home Depot custom order windows, 14 rolls of insulation, and a Home Depot exterior door, I have added $20k to the value of my home. This roll insulation is very easy to unroll, and staple up into place. Not messy at all. I would highly recommend this product. May 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great deal I went into the store and they had 48 foot rolls for 12.80$ very happy with it. Also got stanley electric stapler it made installing it alone alot easier. May 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by R-13 Insulation Product was appropriate for the basement project we are working to complete. June 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall I feel the quality of the produce is good. While the product is a good value, I was disappointed that the facing paper had several extreme wrinkles in it. This was frustrating and added a lot of time to the installation. Although I intend to cover the product with drywall, I don't care for the wrinkles in my finished product. December 31, 2013
