This weighing scale is approximately 12 X 12 X ¾ of an inch. Tried using it on a thin carpet and the weight it showed varied by up to 50 pounds. On the hard floor the display was accurate every time I stood on it. However this set of scales is really for the one person use unless you want to know how much the last person to step on the scales weighed by adding or subtracting the readout (displays in red) of the minus or plus readout to the your own weight. Not good for the discretion of the ladies if a guy is also using the scales as the guy will know how much she does actually weigh.
The readout is large and easy to see. There is no requirement to tap the scale first before stepping on it. Just step straight on and wait until the display stops flashing and it will then display the difference between the last weigh and now. Easy and effective cleaning is done with a damp cloth. Takes two AAA batteries. The weight of the unit is a good 4 Lbs which gives it a solid sound unmoving position on the hard floor. Rubber feet stops any scratching of the floor. Although in principle the idea of displaying what you lost or gained since the last weighing is a good one,, any benefit is lost when used by more than one person.

The scale over all is very nice. Easy to read digital scale that’s modern looking. The only thing is for the weight tracking features; well it’s basically for only one person. If you’re the first to get on the scale it will read your weight and evrytime you, or anyone else gets on the scale, it will read the persons weight and either say you’ve lost or gained weight. There is no real way to set it for you or someone else. I got on the scale then set my 1 year old granddaughter on it. It said I lost 148 lbs. I got back on then scale it read my weight, I gained 148lbs. So it will read your weight no problem but unless you the only one to use it this feature is out the window. For a very nice easy to read digital modern looking scale I can truly say 5 stars but due to the weight tracking feature you cant set for any one person I can only give it 3

Simple and stylish scale!!! Very easy to use and no learning curve of any sort. It was delivered well packaged and included 2 AAA batteries that power its digital display. The center area is tempered glass which can hold 440 pounds. I like the waist measuring tape that came with it. It is almost as thin as my bathroom floor mat is.
The weigh increments by 0.2 pounds and with that I get pretty accurate readings. I love the Step-On convenience with a quick response time. Once it done measuring the weight then it blinks the number indicating the final weight.
It keeps the last measured weight in its memory and display the difference between the last and current weight in green or red relative to weight gain or loss. This feature makes sense if the scale is used by one person only.
This unit is a great fit for measuring traveling luggage too and its accuracy is darn good.
The price is great and appearance is lovely. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Aayan I love it - works well for me
This is the best weighing machine I have ever owned and a great addition to my master bathroom. Appearance is very stylish with a large digital display and super slim profile, less than an inch thick I believe. No wake up tap, I just step on it and it gets to work. Font size is large and I can clearly read numbers without my prescription glasses.
It runs on 2 AAA batteries (included). The center area is glass but its super sturdy. Also included is a measuring tape that’s designed specifically to measure waist line and the other tool to measure body fat. The instructions to measure body fat is very tedious and instructions font is very tiny making it hard to read.
It will give correct measures only on hard surfaces and that's common with most scales out there. If you want to use it on carpeted area then get a 12X12 tile, place that on the carpet and then place the scale on it. That might do the trick.
I love the weight change detection feature where it alerts if the weight goes up or down from the last reading. If up, then it shows the difference in red color, if down then it’s green. This would be practical only if the scale is used by one person (when keeping track of weight). Still, I welcome this feature at such a low price.
Also, I can switch the unit of measure from lbs to Kilograms by pressing a button at the base. The base has 4 feet that are rubber padded and very safe on wood floor.
I love this machine and highly recommend it.

RE: Precision II Digital Bathroom Scale with Widescreen Blue Backlit Xbright LCD and StepOn Activation
I really like these scales. They came well packaged and intact. They require 2 AAA batteries, which are included.
I compared them with my old set (which are calibrated to match my DR scales) and they are accurate within 0.5 lbs.
The display is large and easy to read. Another feature is it remembers your previous weight and will display the change in your weight from previous weight, with a green background for weight loss and a red background for weight gain.
They are well constructed and should provide years of use.

I like the fact that this scale doesn't require tapping it first to calibrate it, it's simple, and easy to use. If the scale has been moved, a C will show up on the screen which means it is calibrating, and you will need to reweigh yourself for a correct reading. You just step on it, it displays your weight. If your weight is higher, the display is red, if your weight is lower, the display turns green, and the scale calculates the gain or loss, if no change in your weight, the display stays blue and indicates no change. I use it to also easily calculate how much my dog weighs by weighing myself first and then picking up my dog and weighing and get an accurate reading displayed, which you could also do with small children also who would be fidgety and won't stand still to be weighed.
It's a good tool to monitor your weight. It doesn't store information if there are other users using the scale to monitor their weight, so other people using the scale will affect the weight loss and gain feature, but if you are a the only person using the scale, and you just want an easy to use scale with a simple readout, it's great.
I own 2 other digital scales that can keep track of multiple users, that measure body mass, and other features which are so complicated that you have to consult the instruction book whenever you use them, that you don't even end up using the extra features because they're so complicated, and just getting a reading of your weight is impossible. I have a scale that I lost the instruction book on and can't remember how to even use it.
I will give it 5 stars for ease of use, nice design, and clear readout display.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Fast, Accurate Weigh-In
I've had an old spring scale in the bathroom for the last seven years, and this digital scale is a HUGE upgrade in accuracy and consistency. The scale is really sleek looking, with a clear glass top and easy to read display. The price point is great for the quality as well, and batteries are included for convenience. The kit also comes with a bonus set of skin fold calipers and body tape measure, but these items are more of an afterthought and feel really cheap.
A big time saver is the auto-on functionality, which doesn't require you to tap the scale before getting on to it to weigh. The manual states it automatically recalibrates itself after detecting that it has been physically moved. So if you don't move it in between weigh-ins, just step on, and it gives your reading after a second or two. It's accurate down to 1/5th of a pound, and seems to agree with my Wii Fit's readings to that precision as well.
One bonus feature is that this scale tracks the weight difference between the last weigh-in and the current one, and gives a green (weight loss) or red (weight gain) indication. This can be great to track weight loss progress, or remind you to lay off the snacks. However, if you share the scale with anyone else, the feature is useless, since it can't tell the difference between two users, even if their weights are different.
The weight change feature can't be turned off either, which is why I'm taking a star off. If you share the scale with someone, you'll each get a friendly reminder of the weight difference between the two of you every time you weigh in. The only way to reset the last stored weight reading is to remove the batteries.
A few notes about inconsistencies with the product listing - the scale only requires two AAA batteries, not 4 like the description states, and the one picture that is of an all black scale is incorrectly placed. This scale has a clear glass top, as shown in all the other product pictures.

I love the simplicity, design, and basic functionality of this bathroom scale, however I bought this scale hoping for a consistent readout of my weight. But it turns out to be just like another brand of a digital scale I had that was inconsistent. I've concluded that digital scales are just not that accurate. It varies up to three pounds difference in response depending on the temperature of the scale and how many times I try to weigh and how long I wait between attempts (and this is all within a 20 minute timeframe each morning without adding to my weight by having drink of water or adding anything else).
