What is the advantage of this model

So why wouldn't I just buy the $28 dollar model and plug my existing surge protector into it? I checked the manual for some indication that it would read each of the 10 individual outlets. Didn't see any indication that it can read individual use. The measurement is just for the sum of everything that is connected to it?
Asked by: OnABudget
This product checks your wiring, grounding, overload protection and surge protection. You can also adjust amperage rate for the amount surge protection needed.

Dose it have memory if it gets unplugged? Of its readings?

Asked by: Christmas
Data of meter can only be accessed through the meter directly not remotely. Data stored is Kwh, cost estimates and Kwh rate.

1-Does it indicate true RMS Power? 2-what is min active power (True RMS power) can it measure? 3-max? 4-what is accuracy of these measurementss?

1 - Does it indicate true RMS Power? or reactive V*A instead of Watts ? 2 - what is minimum active power (True RMS power in watts) can it measure? 3 - what is max active power (True RMS power in watts) can it measure? 4 - what is accuracy of these measurements? Utility meters show True RMS, i.e. active power, but what about this one? I have doubts that it measures True RMS watts, i.e. active power. I believe it just multiplies effective Volts and effective Amperes without referencing the cos of phase angle between them, i.e. showing in most cases more power than in reality. Thanks.
