Can this be used to seal a shower floor made of pennies? How much sq footage will this cover?
Asked by: mag98dlg
I am assuming the shower already has a water tight seal and this product is strictly to seal the pennies to the floor. If so, it will work and you would get one square foot of coverage out of each kit.

Is this epoxy food safe?

Is this epoxy food safe?
Asked by: Brodie
It DOES NOT have a FDA approval for use in food service. However, After this epoxy is fully cured, the area of the repair, or exposed epoxy' can be well washed with soap and warm water, and rinsed and it should be OK for food, similar to using "super glue" to repair a chipped plate. It probably will not hold up to repeated washing's through a dishwasher, mostly due to the temperature excursions.

Can this product be used to repair cracks in driveways? I read an article that mentioned a semi-liquid epoxy that comes in a caulking tube that I can use. Will this work?
Asked by: Vijay
Yes this could be used to fill cracks in concrete driveways. There are other epoxy mixtures that have longer working time which may be more suitable. Heating the epoxy helps reduce the viscosity, so it will flow into cracks better, but shortens the working time. This would be a fairly expensive way to do it. The epoxy in a caulking tube arrangement usually requires a special caulking gun. A more typical way of filling cracks in concrete is with a caulk specifically designed for that, usually a polyurethane type. To "repair" a crack the best method involves chipping out the crack, and refilling it with concrete. If the crack is the result of settling, the crack will return if the settling continues.

Not as thin as I had hoped for to allow it to get in small cracks, even with heating. It did work acceptably, and does cure clear. Heating the epoxy does make it flow better, but greatly reduces the work time, which is already short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A step up in the fast setting epoxy market. Most quick setting epoxy has about a 5 min. working time before it sets up solid. This epoxy extends that time to 10 mins. and as a result those projects you used to have to rush to get glued together before the epoxy set now gives you that extra working time to get the job done without rushing. The extra time is a Godsend if you are trying to glue multiple pieces at once. This is a great epoxy.
