Customer Questions & Answers

Is this product good for repairing hairline cracks in a toilet tank?

Asked by: J1
Yes if you can press it firmly into the crack and wipe away any excess. If the crack is barely visible it might not adhere permanently.

Is this product good for pin hole leaks on outdoor high pressure water pipe?

I have pin hole leak, outside copper pressure pipe. Will this product work here?
Asked by: Oscar
I would not recommend it on high pressure outside. Better to make a copper sleeve repair if possible.

I had read online (not on the company website) that it could be repaired using this product. I had also read on other sites there was no way to repair a cracked toilet tank. I decided for $10 I would give it a try before replacing the entire toilet. Unfortunately it did not work. I don't think this is the fault of the putty epoxy- it is just the kind of problem that can't be remedied this way. So I can't say it worked for me, but I could see it has potential to work on another problem. If you are thinking of repairing a cracked toilet tank, just don't bother.

We developed a leak over thirty years time on the cold water supply line to our cast iron bathtub because the original contractor ran the 1/2inch supply directly under and against the tub drain p-trap. The weight of the tub strained the union nut on the valve body opening the brass seat inside. We had pans for a re-model just not yet. Your product allowed me to slow down the leakage considerably and might have done it completely if I could have viewed the back side of the union. I installed an isolation prior to using your product and between both solutions this has allowed the area to dry out and bought us some time to pursue the re-model. I must say the putty performed better than I thought it would. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow This product worked like a charm. Much better than I would have guesed. We had water spraying from a pipe... an hour later, after putting on the putty, there wasn't event a drip. That, and it was like 5 bucks. Wow. Saved us some serious plumber costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works for stripped threads in faucet seat I replaced a shower faucet stem and seat, but the threads for the seat had eroded so that the new seat was loose and the water could not be shut off completely, creating a steady drip from the shower head. I applied this epoxy putty to the threads and re-installed the seat. SEALED -- NO DRIPS! Took 10 minutes and the cost of the putty used was about 25 cents!
