Answer:
Gray, but you can paint it. Just make sure you use oil(alkyd) paint as latex paint won't take because it is water based. Good luck!

Answer:
Yes, it should work. I have used this product to successfully bond stainless steel and carbon fiber tubes. I would strongly recommend roughing up the metal surface to be bonded, perhaps using a grinder to etch grooves in the surface. If you are looking to adhere to a polished granite surface, I would also recommend roughing that up as well.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent purchase! The product is very strong, but a bit difficult to apply in many applications. I repaired a granite counter top and after sanding, it looks good. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It worked for me I needed it to fix a leaking drain that was in a cramped area I'm thinking that's why the fitting wasn't glued correctly. Going in and replacing the fitting would've taken awhile but it's a low pressure pipe and the reviews were good for the product so I gave it a try. After applying the epoxy and letting it cure per label directions. No more leaks! And if it hasn't leaked by now I don't think it will. If it does..... This review will be updated. It is sticky very very sticky I wore disposable nitrile gloves and was glad I did. I would recommend this product December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my project I was looking for a strong adhesive that would not run while it set up and could fill some void space. PC-7 was exactly what I needed. It was easy to mix and gave me plenty of time to work. The excess was easily cleaned up with just water before it set. In one instance, I was able to completely remove the epoxy and start again with the same part with no damage. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product ! Very strong bond! The paste is a little stiff thereby leaving a bit more of a gap when gluing two pieces of granite together, but it worked well so far, and much stronger bond than I thought possible. I would use this product again, saved me several hundred dollars in repairs, and is holding up a critical corner of my granite counter. September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product My grandpa had this product in his shop, but it was a little old. We decided to try it even though it was older. The tractor was being used to bush-hog the fields and one of the tires was punctured by a old tree stump created by a beaver. We applied this epoxy to the inside and out of the tire and it fixed the puncture! We used all of the epoxy to make this repair so I searched for it and low and behold, Home Depot carried it. I had to purchase some more! Thank you Home Depot for coming through once again! August 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PC-7 I used some other epoxy that didn't hold. This was relatively easy to mix and apply and so far it's rock solid. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Still one of my favorite repair materials None of the Home Depots in my area carried this product, since I needed it right away, I ended up buying from a small hardware store nearby. I decided to see if Home Depot still even carries the product... And being that they do, I wanted to give the product the review it deserves... There are FEW products I actually TRUST, and this is top among them... I have been using it for more than thirty years and it still seems to have the same quality it did back when I first discovered it. I have used this product on countless repairs and many unusual projects and it always works as expected... One good example is the repair of a rust-through hole in a washing machine tub... So far the repair has lasted twelve years... Considering that the hole was big enough to stick a finger through, that's pretty darn good given the stress, vibration and pressure such a repair goes through. Granted, I did a good job preparing the surface and applying the material. Provided one prepares and cleans the surface to be repaired, properly and mixes the material evenly and thoroughly... With a little common sense and in some cases reinforcement help, using fiberglass mesh, screws or metal rods, there are huge numbers of things one can fix or make with this stuff. I hope they never change the formula and I can always find this somewhere. Use it once, use it properly and you'll add it to you list of "must have" materials and repair items! Too bad NONE of my local Home Depots carry this product in store, and too bad NOBODY who works in any of the local stores in the departments where this should be found EVEN KNOWS about or apparently has ever of it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pc7 shipping time was earlier than expected. I used to fix a handle on a big kukri 15" handle of a knife. I use to trim branch's and cut oak the handle set well so also used on a table and glues bolts in place and that worked really well too. I did try it on a fiberglass bow that did not work but worked well for what I bought it for sanded nicely... and polyurethane and lightly clear coated painted it. so very pleased with the product I allowed the full 72 hr drying time and dried hard. simple use 50 50 I put separate on a paper plate mix slowly with popsicle stick. till got a gray color and applied with a thin knife I made from a fork. and was easy to clean with water and a paper towel and dried real hard .. great product. suggest use 60 deg f or better. I did it at 50 deg f ended up put near heating vent after 12 hrs.but yup love the stuff March 27, 2015
