Was in a hurry getting supplies for a job. Saw this hangin off a shelf sticking out in the isle. Wife has been on me about checking for mold. HD price tag said $10 or about that. Got it home. Read the back of package and it said you have to send it to a lab for another $40. Still haven't done it. Don't get me wrong out health is worth much more.

Purchased the test and sent in a sample along with my check for $55 for expedited results. Four months later I still haven't received them.

Using this test in my house gave me a great piece of mind. My air ducts were blowing contaminated air into my living room and thanks to the radon gas kit I was able to detect it! The whole process went smoothly and now I was able to get the problem fixed so my kids and I don’t have to breathe in anymore harmful air!
This Pro-Lab kit was simple to use and it came with excellent instructions. I was don setting up
the test in 7 minutes. After the recommended hours you will have your results, it was that easy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MarkM You need to know the amount of mold in the air
The petri dish method of the old version is basically not very valuable in seeing if you have unhealthy levels of mold. The problem is a petri dish will show mold even if its just a random spore drifting in from inside and gives you no idea of the concentration. There can be very small amounts of mold in air just from a random spore from outside, when it gets to a high level it becomes a serious problem, so you need a parts per million count or whatever. So Actually, a filter based method might give you a better idea of the concentration of mold which is what you need to know. You really, really need to know the concentrations of mold in your air and a test that will show that.
