Customer Reviews

Mold Test Kit is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing advertised was right Package have no indications as to how it worked. Lab results and 40$ are required, not an extra. Results took over twice as long than advertised. Wording of results was evasive, merely confirmed there was mold but gave no identification or details and even to certain extent, deceptive. I also had a really hard time finding them in the store.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I do not recommend this product! It is not what is advertised. No dish. Now just a red attachment for a hose vacuum. I don't have a hose vacuum! Very disappointed! Now they want me to take out the dirt from my vacuum to test that. This is horrible. What happened to the dish testing the air? $50 in total. To test dirt for mold. Waste of money. Stay away!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just a container The product is basically a container to collect dust from vacuum which will not tell you if there's mold or not. Google the INSTRUCTION before you buy. Kind of wasting money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I bought the mold test kit after watching the Dr. Oz show where they recommended using a dust collection kit for sampling to determine if there is mold in the home. The test kit was very easy to use and the directions were very clear. After taking the sample, I sent the kit along with my check in the prepaid envelope provided. A few days later I received an email that my sample had gotten to the lab. Just 2 days later, I received concise, easy to understand results along with recomendations of how to deal with the mold that were detected in my home! Will defenetely recommend this product to anyone who has concerns about there being mold in their home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pro-Lab requires an expensive extra fee to process the lab results even if no rush order is need... Pro-Lab requires an expensive extra fee to process the lab results even if no rush order is needed. I used a "First Alert" brand test from Lowes recently which had no extra charge for normal lab processing and the test was reasonably priced to purchase. I believe First Alert also does Mold Test under the same procedure without an extra expensive lab fee.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ATTENTION HOME OWNERS ATTENTION ALL HOME OWNERS!!! This product is miss-leading and not worth your time!!! I am a microbiologist who has worked in the environmental field specializing in fungal analysis for over 10 years. This product lies to you. NO plate will ever indicate the presence of MITES or of POLLEN!! Further the agar provided in this kit is of very POOR quality will not give you accurate results!!! The scare tactics that are part of their advertising is miss leading and wrong. The black mold everyone is concerned about (Stachybotrys-black toxic mold) wont even germinate for 12-14 days. Fungus is ALL around you and unless you live in a clean room or Operating Room you should see growth on a plate don't panic!! Further there are many types of mold/fungus that are toxic or potentially harmful THAT AREN'T BLACK. Please consider a professional, if you feel you might have need for mitigation, this test is useless. J.O. Microbiologist (fungal specialty) Denver, CO
