Answer:
No, MDF is an interior only product, and it swells up and disintegrates when wet. Try using fiber cement board, it comes primed and works excellent for outside trim.

As long as you are handy with a router and carefully plan out the path of the bevel you'd like to make, then it is possible.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Water stains I bought 2 pieces of this MDF and they had water stains on them. I did not think it was a deal killer since I could not find any other non-stained pieces. I planned on priming and painting all my work anyway so I took them to the job. Any painter knows water stains are hard to cover but with this it's a nightmare. After 2 coats of oil Kilz the surface is lifting off and looks awful. Now I have to sand it and prime a few more times before I can apply my finish paint. This was a bad decision on my part because the store was also out of primed pine in this size. Lesson learned if the surface does not look nice leave it i the store. May 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MULTI-Purpose MDF Board This mdf board is good for multi-purposes. I used this to build a large cupcake stand for a client who needed it for a wedding. The priming on it was very good. Be careful when cutting though, you can get jagged edges on the finishing, that would have to be repainted over. Do not use a jigsaw or table saw when cutting, if you prefer to preserve the finish. Overall Excellent product. August 5, 2013
