Answer:
Yes. That was the application I used it for. It met the requirements I had, 110 volt input, 24 volt AC output, 40VA. It can also be used for 220 volt input, you just choose the input lead pair that matches your requirement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 24VAC supply transformer HVAC Control board supply voltage Hey if your HVAC Heater or Air conditioner both stopped working. The blower fan will not turn on. there is a good chance that the 24VAC supply transformer HVAC Control board supply voltage is missing. This transformer is the #1 reason. when it fails it usually smells like electrical burning and gets real hot. Replace it yourself. Don't just twist the wires together and use tape. Use wire twist lungs and then electrical tape or wire crimps that require a crimping tool. REMOVE POWER TO THE UNIT FIRST. SAFETY IS PRIORITY. UNPLUG OR OPEN THE CIRCUIT BRAKER THAT POWERS YOUR UNIT. The transformer has multiple supply input choices. Make sure you use the correct ones this depends on your input voltage. 120vac 240vac, most of the time the colors of this transformer are the same as your old one. Don't assume read the schematic that comes with this one to verify it is. March 2, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect This transformer was the perfect fit for a project I was working on. Cost was very reasonable compared to others available June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works just fine It works just fine for a 24VAC transformer. Just not sure why they don't carry them in the stores, as they are a very common part, and when they go bad, you need a new transformer to make your furnace work right away, not in 2-3 days. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Transformer for my home heating system You can't tell from the photo or description, but this transformer has multiple input voltages so it can work with input voltage of 110 or 220 volt. I bought this to replace a bad transformer in my furnace and it worked just fine. It saved me a $240 in repair fees. It arrived much sooner than predicted December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good substitute for a much more expensive transformator The transformer was used in a dripping watering system it work for one month continuously with very low leakage current Excellent deal for the price. September 1, 2015
