Love this structure, fairly easy to assemble and very sturdy. Actually beautifies the area. Great purchase at an excellent price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RetiredEngineer Nice Product, Well Engineered
I like this carport. It is attractive and well engineered and went together fairly easily. I assembled most of this by myself but I absolutely don't recommend that unless you can rig lifting gear and have experience.
Product shipped in 3 boxes and all of mine were damaged in shipping. Two main structural parts and six of the clear plastic panels were damaged enough to require replacement which was done cheerfully by Palram and in my hands within a week. Several other parts had minor paint damage from shipping.
Assembly was straight forward though I replaced the plastic concrete anchors with thicker stainless steel wedge anchors. I also found securing the individual panels to be tedious and feel a better system could be designed. Living on the Gulf Coast, in the event of a big hurricane, I'll remove the panels to minimize damage.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIY Patio Cover with modifications
I wanted an aluminum patio cover that was rated for snow. I had specific measurements that I needed and this fit like a glove. The quality would have gotten an excellent rating if the posts were a heavier gauge material. I had to replace them to fit my application, so it didn't affect my patio cover. I made mine with 3/16" thick 3"x3"x10' powder coated steel. I would have also liked an option for tinted or solid color polycarbonate panels. I had mine tinted with 5% window film. I was glad I did for the shade I wanted. The directions for this unit are thorough and easy to understand. I also would have preferred an option for stainless steel hardware. I did purchase this separately but would have paid for this option and others previously described from Palmar. I do plan on purchasing an additional unit to cover the other half of my patio.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Deb So gorgeous!!!
It took 2 guys 2 days to put up but I need ground prep, cement posts, and gravel after. The guys said there were a lot of screws nuts and bolts but that the instructions were straight forward and though a little lengthy, easy to put together. I wish I could put a picture here. I have people stopping to ask about it. We are using for storing wood to use and cure. Live in a windy place and this can take up to 100 mph winds. Just great looking and strong as all get out! If just using for a carport, I bet the 4 post one would do just fine. And the polycarbonate top can be replaced so I am going to get some backups now in case they change models or heaven forbid, go out of business.

The only downside of this product is that you can't order it in a longer length.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KBENRIQ I love my Arcadia 5000 Carport
The only problem I had with this product was finding someone to install it, also getting the footings level. Putting it together was easy for the installer, but getting the footings level seemed to be a bit of a problem. However, now that it is all done, I love its good quality, and it's very nice looking in my front yard. Even the installer said he would like to get one for himself. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It's definitely worth the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NavySquid Outstanding product, outstanding value!
Wanted to cover our large patio area, but the estimates for a custom made wooden patio cover ranged from $7,000 to $12,000, way over our budget. Also, here in the Pacific Northwest, sunlight is at a premium, and the conventional patio designs had shingle roof tiles. I found the Palram Arcadia on-line, and Home Depot had the best price, by far! Because this cover uses transparent panels, it allows the daylight to shine right on through. I purchased two, and installed them side-by-side, which provides a total of 16' by 24' of coverage. The only negative I would add is that some mention of installing either gaskets or otherwise water-proofing the gutter connections in the manual would have been nice. Harder to do after they are assembled. ;-)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JonL Awesome product, very classy and modern look.
I live in a nice neighborhood and was nervous that the carport would look out of place. It didn't! If anything it enhanced the look of my house. Was not easy to put together, but straightforward. Definitely need two people and plan on a long day with some aches and pains the following day. All in all very worth it, and I am very happy with the purchase.
