Product Overview

This Panasonic Countertop/Built-In Microwave Oven in Stainless Steel uses Inverter Technology to supply a steady stream of cooking power that preserves the texture and flavor of foods. Unlike other microwaves that use intermittent bursts of high-powered blasts, this 1.2 cu. ft., 1200 watt unit delivers consistent, measured amounts of power—even at lower levels—to precisely heat up foods and beverages. With Inverter, you can braise, poach and even steam more delicate foods, all with the speed and convenience of a microwave. With a touch of the Genius Sensor cooking button, this appliance takes the guesswork out of microwaving by automatically setting power levels and adjusting cooking or defrosting time. The sensor measures the amount of steam produced during cooking and signals the microprocessor to calculate the remaining cooking time at the appropriate power level. Plus, with Turbo Defrost, you can thaw foods expediently and shorten your meal prep time.

Asked by: varsha
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Varsha. If a part of the inside of your microwave is burnt, you may have a problem with the microwave that replacing that part may not fix. You may want to consider a repair or a new microwave. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

1.2 cu. ft. 1200-Watt Countertop/Built-In Microwave in Stainless Steel with Inverter Technology and Sensor Cooking is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from sensor reheat works great This item is brand new to me in August 2015, but I love the sensor reheat. It works perfectly with reheating a platter. I was afraid it would dry out the thin cutlet of meat while also heating the pasta on the platter, but it was heated perfectly. I have not used all of the features yet, but intend to as this feature worked so well. Previous microwave was really just a guess at timing to reheat items. Hoping this lasts as long as my last microwave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best feature is that you can turn off the beep, both for the buttons and when the microwave is done. As a parent, I totally appreciate that. It's a mildly annoying you can only change it to "non-beep" mode when the microwave is first plugged in, and will reset back to "beep" if there is a power outage and you have unplug/replug to set to non-beep. But this is a small thing. Food heats up evenly (at least compared to our 10 year old microwave that we replaced it with) and it's pretty easy to use. It looks nice. A solid microwave and we lucked out to buy it during Cyber Monday so we got a really good deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average to good overall The positive about this microwave is that it heats quicker than our old one. The things that made me question whether to keep it were the noise and the finger marks. It has a louder motor than our previous one. That bothered me at first, but we only use it for a couple of minutes at a time, and I'm getting used to it being noisy. Also with the first use, the surface of the door release button kept the finger print marks. The finger marks don't seem to wipe off. But it's more trouble to return it than to keep it, so we'll keep it. Those things bother you when the product is new, but we probably won't notice them after a while. I do like the 30 second button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - great price Got my Panasonic microwave and it works really well. No hot spots. Much improved from my old microwave and looks nice and updated too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Kitchen Treasure! I haven't tried all of the features yet but everything cooks quicker. My instant coffee is now ready a full minute faster. It cleans easily. Any fingerprints on the stainless steel wipe off easily. I do find the touch control buttons are a bit stubborn. You have to press them VERY firmly and focus on what you are doing. The instruction book is well-organized and I trust the brand. It does warn you not to use it near a stove so I don't use the two adjacent burners on my electric stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alyce I really like this microwave as it does everything it says it does. The only thing is I wish the light would come on when the door opens. The other thing is the dimensions given were for the exterior and I was looking for the interior. So it was a bit smaller than I had anticipated.
