1.5-Cup Mini Rice Cooker with Glass Lid in Silver is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best "One Person" Rice Cooker It is truly the best rice cooker I've ever used; the rice cooks perfect. It even cooks Half-a-Cup rice to perfection. I've had this cooker for over two years and I use it almost every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for one or two people This takes up very little counter space and makes the perfect fluffy rice to feed one to two people. I bought this because I needed to make brown rice for my toddler and found that making just a little rice in my bigger rice cooker made rice that was overcooked and burned at the same time! My bigger rice cooker makes 5 cups, pretty average yield for a rice cooker, but given that we (family of 3) aren't eating that much rice, or even half, on an everyday basis, that one has since been put away unless we need the extra capacity for larger groups. In order to make a decent pot of rice in the regular (not the fancy fuzzy logic machines), you need to make at least half the capacity. This is also the perfect hotpot gadget for traveling! We traveled with our toddler, who only eats brown rice, boiled eggs, yogurt and cooked broccoli w/ soy sauce, and this took care of all the cooked foods. I had read that stewardesses and other traveling people who reach a destination at a time when hot food was unavailable also love this machine for ramen, or heating up a can of soup. I can see that! I have had this in my kitchen now for 4 years and it gets used almost daily. It has now adopted an additional use of steaming up a frozen meat/veg portion (in a small metal dish) for our elderly Pomeranian doggy. The only drawback is after awhile, the non-stick inner pot is starting to chip/degrade, and I don't know if I can get just this part reordered :(, which is not unusual these days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Success first time! I love rice with my grilled salmon. I had been using the 90 second microwave rice but decided I wanted to do it myself. I bought this rice cooker and it arrived today. I cooked long grain brown rice and just hoped that it would turn out ok. I was not disappointed. It worked out very well. My only mistake was that I made twice the amount that we needed. I will cut the amount in half next time. Excellent appliance and so easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good so far... I've used the rice cooker about a dozen times or more. Unit works as expected but some rices need more cooking time than others and may be hard or chewy. Presoaking rice 30 to 45 minutes helps somewhat, making it less chewy. Unit price seemed high for what you are receiving but I would buy it again tomorrow based on my experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I've only used it once so far. The rice came out perfectly with minimal preparation; just the right amount for me. Very reasonably priced, and compact for easy storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good I am from China so I eat rice almost every day for my whole life. This little thing is very solid built. Also I like it that it's so small--it is only big enough for one meal one person but maybe 2 girls. for me its such a bonus because I only eat fleshly cooked rice and this is perfect for me. Like Japanese cars, they make good stuff. Panasonic nailed it. downside: a little pricy but solid built. Also it does not come with a scoop for the high price, which is a little susurprising and ddisappointing. bottom line: still good stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent rice cooker, however grossly overpriced Easy to use, makes the best rice i ever eat, not good for brown rice. used white Tilda Basmati rice, with ghee, fried onions, celery, and mushrooms, soak one cup rice for 30 minutes, drain well, add two cups water, add ghee, onions, mushrooms, and celery. As mentioned great little cooker for one person, however overpriced. Note use the very best quality rice available
