Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 2much2do Second Time was not the Charm
Purchased my first one several years ago and it worked like a champ until I tried to use it with a generator - do not do that! I bought the second one nine months ago and found the door latch to be much stiffer than the previous one but size, power, and kitchen appliance-matching appearance all over-rode that inconvenience. Fought the difficult door closure issue for about five months when the unit would not power on unless the door was slammed shut which was very noisy and now that only works sometimes. Will be purchasing a different brand with similar features but a different type of latch mechanism.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gossamer Just what we needed
We bought an older panasonic 2.2 cu ft microwave used some years ago, and what a work horse it was! Five years later, this dinosaur (15-20 years old) finally started to fade. We had gotten so used to the large capacity, so that was our first requirement. When I found a newer version of the exact same thing we previously had, I knew that was what we wanted. When I found the price was in line with other brands similar sized microwaves, I jumped on it immediately. Two weeks in and the microwave functions flawlessly. It does everything you can ask of it and more.
A new feature that I like is that when I am heating something at say 40% power, an indicator shows not just the time left, but what power level I selected. It's little things like that that make this a winner. :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by irene So far this microwave works great
Lots of features at a reasonable price. Our last microwave lasted over 20 years. Everyone knows that they don't make anything like they used to. Lots of plastic instead of metal now a days. Needed a large microwave to go over our built in oven. This was the largest one we could find. Had to make some trim adjustments and additions because it still was a little bit smaller for the opening, but it looks okay. Features are easy to figure out and unit is very nice looking. Hope it lasts

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Norm Great buy
I have purchased several microwave ovens over the past 5 years and none have been very good. However, this oven has exceeded my expectations and more! It heats items in half the time that the others took to heat and it has some great "new" functons as well. The defrost function works like a dream; it actually does defrost and not cook the item. I enjoyed this oven so much that I purchased one for my mother-in-law as well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HandyMan Sensors seem to cook/reheat everything perfectly.
Mechanically, this thing is awesome. It seems to cook everything perfectly. No soggy/rubbery food yet (if you use the sensors). The sensors make is pretty easy to defrost/reheat/cook. Cosmetically, it seems to scratch easily. I actually put a coat of carwax on the front to protect it. Seems to work well, and it has a huge interior.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jmarskine Over the past 10 years I have purchased 3 panasonic 2.2 cu ft. microwave ovens. I have enjoyed using the microwaves when they were working. The drawback is, they don't work very long. I have a smaller Goldstar brand microwave I purchased more than 12 years ago that has outlasted all 3 of the Panasonic microwaves. I will not purchase another Panasonic.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RoadieRider It just quit
I bought this product in July of 07. While it was working, it was very good. But, it just quit on day and now I would have to drive 90 miles to have it serviced. It cost more in gasoline and my time than it does just to buy another microwave. No more Panasonics for this household.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JoanF Excellent Microwave
This microwave has lasted us for 6 years and died a slow death over the last 4 months. (we could coax it to work by hitting the reset button) We never had any problems before that and will replace it with as close at we can to the model we have now. (Inverter, 2.2 cubic feet, 1250 watts.)
