If there is a lip on the edge of the glass plate, do not include the lip in the interior heighth. I am looking for a microwave with the option to turn the glass plate turntable off.

Answer:
Taking into account the recessed areas in the interior wall panels and door, figure 18.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 11 inches from the main turntable surface on up. These are my measurements. Owners Manual says 18 7/16" W x 18 1/2" D x 10 15/16" H. I see no option for turning the turntable off.

2.2 cu. ft . Countertop Microwave in Black is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Door thinks it's not shut .... These panasonics have door problems . You have to shake the door to get it to start cooking because it thinks it's not shut . It's a ongoing problem from Panasonic , but still no recalls ....... It's started on ours after only 4 months

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought this about a year ago. Door latch broke. Microwave won't work without the door latching.... I bought this about a year ago. Door latch broke. Microwave won't work without the door latching. Looks like a common problem. NO MORE Panasonic microwaves for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 Years 2 Months and Goodbye I bought this microwave a little over 2 years ago. This morning the door would not latch. A quick inspection revealed the problem. The lcheap plastic door latch had failed in a couple of places. The upper latch was cracked and hanging by a thread. The assembly which holds the upper latch in place (also plastic) looks a little frayed. There were a couple of broken off bits of plastic around as well. The replacement part is only $5-$8 dollars but is 4 weeks away. (We live on an island.) So I will be out looking for a replacement tomorrow. The replacement won't be a Panasonic as it is too poorly made. Before I tore the MW door down I searched online and found many people discovered this problem as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just bought another one !!! I use my microwave for ALMOST ALL my cooking. Had one just like this that last 15+ years. Still works until it gets hot, (after heating four or five different dishes in rapid succession) then shuts off after about ten seconds. I still use it in the basement to heat up coffee and it works fine. But hey, I shut off after a few seconds or so too when used in rapid succession, now in my later years. Never had a bit of trouble with this Panasonic unit. Sure, there are more (much more) expensive microwaves out there, but this one is high capacity (2.2 cu ft) and has 1250 watts of power which is (in many cases) much more than the more expensive ones and has all the features I will ever use. Compare this one with others and you too will see it has much more features for a LOT less in price. I definitely would recommend this microwave to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Microwave Ever. I bought this microwave this past January. From the beginning it was loud and got progressively worse over the past few months. It has gotten so loud that you don't feel comfortable standing too close to the unit while it is on. Within the past month, the microwave would choose at times to not work, it seemed to have something to do with the door latch. Now the microwave does not work at all. The one year warrantly requires me to drive the microwave down to a certified repairman an hour and 15 minutes from my house. (So I'm supposed to be without a microwave while the problem is determined and then fixed, not to mention driving all that way?) The extended warranty that I bought does not kick in until January. Extremely unhappy with this product. Shouldn't a microwave last longer than 10+months? Find another microwave to buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Served us well for seven years We don't usually use the advanced features -- we just cook with it, and for that it's been terrific. It's just recently started to give us problems, and we're considered buying the same model. It's fairly large, which is good for family-sized food prep and perfect for our kitchen, but consider your counter space.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible microwave I have had this microwave for a little over 6 months and it is already having some major issues. If you don't close the door hard enough, the light will stay on. Sometimes I just want to come home and have dinner but it takes forever just to heat something up because I have to close the microwave door several times before it will actually work. I definitely would not recommend this microwave to anyone. It is a horrible microwave that doesn't work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cautiously guarded opinion Less than 24 hours old and it seems to do the job, but it's very noisy. Debating on whether to 1) take it back and try another, or 2) see if they'll run another in the store to see if it makes the same amount of noise. I can live with the noise, but it's louder than my old antique microwave.
